Thank you so very much for this!

One clarification regarding any ROTC plans we already have going in our games that may have updated levels prematurely;
What is the best method for our existing ROTC plans.
(if this was in the video - I missed the detail).

Should we;
a) do a refresh plan at the workbench.
b) do a remove plan, scrap all, then start it again?
C) some other method?

I don't really care about progress made or resources lost - more care about starting with a "clean slate" so to speak, and time it takes.

thanks for the updates - really excited with the new features.
Especially the "City Manager Tools".

Oh, and regarding the terms for Bored or Hobbies - If you don't want to use Residential, Rec etc.
Then how about for the three categories...
  • live
  • work
  • play.

Now, to find time to actually get to the game....

After installing this patch (and latest Rotc and workshopframework) my settlements no longer show resource panel and the resource panel report view toggle does no work...

(that's 87min btw to full refresh Sanctuary, just ignore gray garden in the background)

Well, that was fun! Can any1 else confirm the extraordinary refresh time or its my build acting up again? :)

Btw, order than that I'm having no problems with this release. New settlements builds just as fast as before :D

From wiki patch notes:
his fix is not retroactive to settlements already using these City Plans. Those will require refreshing the City Plan to fix, which can be a time-consuming process. After doing so you will need to save and reload your game to see if it had an impact.
Unfortunately it doesn't specify with enough detail to answer your question :(

So far its been an hour for me and the refreshing process is stuck at "Rebuilding layout - 3%". I'm refreshin Sanctuary's RotC City Plan. Your post cheers me up, I was about to give up on it :D

In the video, Kinggath said that all the big bugs have been squashed. The only one I am still experiencing is in Hub of the Problem. It seems that the ghoul under the desk (kind of in the corner) where the terminal is that Jake needs to interact with first, does not trigger. It just lies there under the debris, and Jake won't move. It took a while to figure out that the ghoul was a trigger. I've been able to shoot it while it's still there in the dust, but it has never "come to life". (I'm sure there's a proper term for the ghoul to trigger, but I just can't think of it right now)

I fixed the hud in 9.0c by wsfw reset hud then opening and closing workshop then redoing my settings. Not sure if that’s the same issue or not though.

Same here. Only thing working is Holo display. The only hotkey I have is for the Holo display. Do we need to have hotkeys for others even if turned on in Manager?

This just worked for me, except that I didn't need to redo my HUD settings (just reset the HUD, opened workshop mode, closed it, and then opened it again).

If you are having trouble with the HUD, open the Workshop Framework menu in MCM or the Workshop Framework Controls Holotape, go to Tools, and choose Reset HUD Widgets.

This patch attempts to reboot the HUD management quest on load, but due to race conditions in code, its possible that the HUD will get itself stuck in a weird state and the Reset HUD Widgets can correct that for you.

Refreshing a City Plan can be excruciatingly long unfortunately.

FO4 is really fast about placing items, but cleaning them up is a slow process. Plot refreshes are fast now because they are kind of self-contained little ecosystems, but items in a settlement have to be hooked into the full workshop system, so unhooking them safely takes a lot of script power- and after all that scrapping, the city has to rebuild again adding more time.

@pakman If you're not glued to your progress, you're better off rolling back your save and rebuilding the City Plan fresh than using refresh.

Thanks for the info.

Hmmm....that was a couple of levels ago, including some annoying dungeons.

Is going in and wiping the city functionally equivalent as far as a "clean" game?
  • go to desk.
  • remove plan.
  • scrap all.
  • Build new desk.
  • select city plan and start again?

This. I would also like to know if this works since I have like 50 to 75 hours in this playthrough and I would really hate to AGAIN start a new game because of a bug. I have 6 ROTC cities started before 1.0.10 patch and I think they are all screwed...I dont mind them racing to level 3 but all cities being full of double items really slows the game down and looks awfull. Also if I now start a new game what happens when episode 2 comes....a new game once again :(

I had this happen in one playthrough. I had to go upstairs and kill 2 ghouls that spawned. (I think they were meant to come downstairs) After that I heard Jake kill the ghoul under the desk and start his dialog. I went back to Jake and the scene played as intended.

Just for the record that I don't just have complaints 0:D, the only thing I can test las night was the new summon tools (homeless/unemployed) and must say I love the return of this option. Thanks a lot.

Now I'll try to reset the HUD and see (the sad part of the movie, hope for a happy end).

Probably you're boring of hear that but, anyway, excellent job!
