Solved Not getting any settlements, please help

Hi, so basically my problem is the thread title. I downloaded conqueror and everything needed to run it as far as I know (I have HUD framework, Workshop framework, Sim settlements and conqueror itself and I've double, triple, quadruple checked that everything is up to date and everything is in the right load order).
I start a new game make my character and then the box pops up with the configuration stuff but when I click to assign settlements to build up, there's only one settlement on the left, which is: "nuka world red rocket", that's it. I assume there's supposed to be a list of all the settlements in the game for me to select from but there's only the one.
What am I doing wrong? are there any trouble mods that are known to interfere with conqueror?
I do also have the sim settlements year one and year two mega packs, SS venturers 1&2 and SS industrial rev but all of those are disabled, the only SS mods that I have enabled are the ones stated above in brackets.
since I couldn't select any settlements I used the randomise setting to randomise 90% of the settlements but nothing changed, I'm guessing because it's not picking up any of the settlements?
Any help would be appreciated because I have no idea

I think your problem is that you have no city plans.

When you downloaded Sim Settlements, did you download "Sim Settlements Three-in-One v4.2.9a" or did you download "Sim Settlements v4.2.9a" I ask because Sim Settlements Three-in-One v4.2.9a comes with Sim Settlements Industrial Revolution and Sim Settlements Rise of the Commonwealth, Rise of the Commonwealth contains city plans that are used by Sim Settlements Conqueror to prebuild settlements. If I remember correctly a settlement won't show up in the menu if there are no city plans for that settlement. I know custom settlements won't show up in the prebuild menu unless there is a city plan for them.

So I would suggest getting Sim Settlements Three-in-One v4.2.9a if you don't have it or you could download a city plan from the nexus.

Kinggath has compiled some really good city plans in the "Sim Settlements - City Plan Pack - Contest Entries" mod and the "Sim Settlements City Plan Pack - Season 2" if you want fancy plans to cover all the settlements, but if you want something simpler you could also try "Nothin' Fancy -- All-In-One (SIM SETTLEMENTS 1 ONLY)" by WetRats.

Just bear in mind that the fancier city plans take longer to build so it may take you a while to prebuild a bunch of settlements, with my computer I can build 12-14 settlements in about an hour. I usually don't go above 14 settlements because the prebuild process can crash if you go over it in my experience.

Well, I think this should fix your immediate problem, however, I do have a few more things to say considering you are probably new at this whole thing.

Having too many city plans can mess with your game so only have the ones in your load order that you are actually going to use.

Here are the one I use if you'd like to know, they don't crash my game and perform rather well, with the exception of the settlements that don't perform well to begin with regardless of city plan. Almost all can be found in the "Sim Settlements - City Plan Pack - Contest Entries" mod and the "Sim Settlements City Plan Pack - Season 2" mods, those that aren't ill mark.

1. Abernathy Farm by Ausplat
2. Boston Airport by Korvac (may not want to use this one for lore/story reasons)
3. Bunker Hill by Ausplat (Some settlers don't really take order, many not want to take as vassal)
4. Coastal Cottage by Phil T Casual
5. Covenant by xMORIDARx (Settlers don't really take orders, may not want to take as vassal)
6. Country Crossing by Yagisan
7. Dalton Farm by aSemioticGhost
8. Echo Lake Lumber by aSemioticGhost
9. Hangmans Ally by Phil T Casual
10. Long Fellows Cabin by Ausplat (This settlement tends to have lower performance for me no matter what city plan I use)
11. Murkwater Construction Site by PBenjamin
12. NPV Center by Yagisan
13. Outpost Zim by Phil T Casual (Major landscape changes to this settlement, make outpost zim a canyon, I like it but you may not)
14. Slog by xMORIDARx
*15. Somerville Place by Iztari (Can get this settlement from Sim Settlements - City Plan Pack - Contest Entries mod or from Somersville Place by Iztari mod)
16. Sunshine Tiding Coop by Yagisan
*17. Taffington Boathouse by Iztari (Can get from Taffington Boathouse by Iztari mod, this is different from the Taffington Inn by Iztari mod)
18. Tenpines Bluff by Mobina

I only use only 14 of these at a time depending on where I plan to build my raider empire. As you noticed I left a few settlement off the list, that is because its not wise to prebuild some settlements like sanctuary, mechanist lair, the castle, and vault 88 whereas other settlement I choose to leave alone because I plan to build my raider bases there like the Finch Farm.

Hopefully this helps.

Edit - This advice is meant mainly for pc players, console players can't do all of the things I suggest for various reasons unfortunately.

My dude! you are a life saver!
yeah, that solved the problem, thank you so much. I've been wanting to play this mod for a while but never had time and then I downloaded it and couldn't figure out how to make it work, so thank you!
I also appreciate all the effort you went through to list all your recommended plans, I'll definitely check them out and see which ones I like.

No problem and don't hesitate to ask any more questions if you run into any more problems.

Oh, by the way, shameless plug, if you want any faction packs for conqueror I made a few, like the Enclave, just saying.

Have fun.

Blacklight, I didn't ask this question (I knew about needing city plans) but I appreciate the thoughtful advice on prebuilding only some settlements. I'm an xbox player so both mod space and processing power are limited. (Every triangle can be a triangle of death if you try hard, believe in yourself, and are running a Bethesda game on insufficient hardware!). In my first conqueror attempt, I prebuilt everything not default left out (RR, Sanctuary, etc.) with RotC plans and the result was... not rosy.

Due to limited drive space for mods (and the limited selection of ones ported to Xbox, and the terrible mod search interface on box...) I'm unlikely to take advantage of your specific list of ideas. If anyone else has these same constraints, I've been having a good time with Simple Settlement Plans for Sims Settlements First Steps by bowenje. Still made the mistake of prebuilding too many places, but, much better.

ETA: the brief description you see in the link preview hasn't been updated to reflect that it has plans for all/most settlements now, not the handful listed. The current set has also been updated so that every city plan has one or more 2x2 martial plots, so you can get the new special buildings in there if you make them an outpost!

I'm sorry my advice didn't really help you because you're using a console, I kind of forget people play on console and not just on pc so i'll try to make sure in the future that people know my advice is really just for pc users.

Edit - I misinterpreted what you meant when you said "Blacklight, I didn't ask this question," sorry about that, I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed.

No worries, it was probably partially on me. I feel like I must have said it at least a little unclearly if you felt like you needed to apologise when I was trying to thank you.

Just to be totally clear, you gave good advice that helped me even though I wasn't the OP/didn't have the OP's problem/have different issues. The second half of my post was just leaving more advice in case someone in more like my situation finds this while looking for tips (like I did).
