Question Not appearing to gain settlers

Just a quick question about recruitment of settlers. I have turned off charisma requirements, but have left on settlement size.....but. I am building my own settlement at Sanctuary so does the settlement size have anything to do with it?

My questions is this, I am at 22 settlers now and I have been stuck there for quite a while. My Scav Dispatch is at level 3 and I have my recruit beacon active but I am still stuck at 22 settlers. I thought that with the Scav alternate recruitment on I would just get settlers until the end of time.

Suggestions, thoughts, cookies!

I made sure I had no companions station there to get the max amount of actual settlers then drank some beer popped some grape mentats and excel while at startlight and just used the move function to get sanctuary really maxed out. Now turn around and get your companions to go there as well.

I just find it easier to move settlers from 1 location to where I want them. No waiting around.

Without any clothes or anything my character is 12 charisma. Apperal gets me another 5. Cant find any sharp armor dangit.

did you have max unemployed to 5 ?

Yes I have this set to 5.

Unfortunately I already moved Prestons group to Sanctuary, and I cannot move any more settlers there as it is greyed out on my move selection screen. But I have charisma turned off so that shouldn't matter.

what your taxe laws actualy ? cause there is a penalty if you put double taxe on recrutement on residential.
try no taxe.

The games move command will still take your charisma into consideration before you can move someone. Put on some charisma clothes temporarily or pop some grape mentats real quick and you it will be an option again.

My tax laws are on default, I guess I could turn them off as I never use caps.

Ah never thought about that, didn't realize you could do that, will definitely give that a try as I have plenty of other settlements to send people from, thanks.

Edit: Well I boosted my charisma to 12+ and still no go with transferring settlers to Sanctuary, so hopefully the Scav Dispatch station will kick in soon.

So I think there is a bit of mix and match between my recruitment and kinggaths here.

Kinggaths recruitment:

will recruit until the max unemployed settlers is reach
has a charisma on/off setting
allows you to adjust the max unemployed setterlers
is impacted by taxes

My/Scav Team Dispatcher recruitment:
recruits if (and only if) you ahve at least 1 available SS residential plot and 1 available SS job plot.
There is no chasima option
I have no unemployed settler option (I do still have the max unemployed of 4 from vanilla, but it doesn't get checked at all unless you have available homes and job plots.
The available homes/jobs is probably playing havoc in City Plan cities because they spawn jobs/homes as needed for settlers, thus my recruitment won't really recruit for them properly (I'll look into fixing it once the API allows us to easily detect if a city is utilizing a plan or not)

so he need to disable your alternate recruitement for kinggath ignore charisma work ?

Thanks Mytigio,

So.....what it sounds like I need to do is make sure I have open housing plots and job plots, can do! This is in my Sanctuary settlement which I am handling manually. I did lower my taxes to half across the board and I got one settler almost instantly, so I am up to 23. But I will go back and make sure I have some more residential plots, I already have two empty industrial plots and a commercial plot, so maybe I am just short housing.

I used the housing plot that had like 8 beds in it, but maybe it is having a hard time seeing those, as my housing number is fluctuating between 30 and 25, but hell I will build more housing no problem.

Okay off to build more housing I will let you know what happens.

EDIT: Alrighty Then....went back in built 3 more residential plots, and was in the process of building other settlement related crap and blamo 2 more settlers. So that puts me up to 25. So I built a few more residential plots.

Right now I have 4 empty agricultural plots, one empty commercial, and one empty residential, but I plan on upping that substantially to see if that keeps the settlers flowing in.

Well the open residential/job plot seems to have fixed it, in a matter of a few hours I went from 22 settlers to 29.

Thanks again.

Edit: Well things are rollin hardcore now. I have 35 settlers on only one more day of play, going to have to make sure I have no jobs or residential plots available before my computer has a melt down! Awesome!
