So is the next gen update on pc even worth breaking all the mods?
i have around 200 mods at the moment, is there any reason to deal with it? from what i can see there is really widescreen support going for pc while most bug fixes are basicly the unoficial patch =D

it did break F4SE but that was a given so far did not notice any real problems playing thru normal launcher even though most of my mods are loaded!
so far only those parts of mods that realy need F4SE for me are not loading at start and those are mostly the AAF ones and i think there was one mention of the MCM not loading because F4SE did not load but so far all is roling wel but i have not visited near any of the SS2 settlements yet so !

add i did encounter some stability isues just got CTDed 2 times ones porting to settlement one fighting some enclave troops tha tmigh tbe related to F4Se not being loaded but i aint enough of a techie to figure out if those are related!

Correct. If your game is going well, I would hold off.

A look over the patch notes doesn't show too much in the way of improvements. Unless you're really interested in the CC-based content that was released for free - or you've been bothered by one of the specific bugs they list as having fixed - it's likely not worth it until the mods get updated to account for it. Especially if you're currently invested in a modded playthrough. I started an unmodded playthrough the other day so I'd be in a place to pick up and try out the new content. It's been okay, but I was trying a playthrough recently that the baseball launcher would have been perfect for. My only weapons were baseball bats/swatters, and the junk jet for launching baseball-related items (baseballs, baseball gloves, baseball bases, etc.).

This might be something you could be interested in?

I am not recommending it as I have not used it myself.

But if I wanted to keep an existing game going, I would definitely try it.
  1. Use this acf file to trick steam into thinking your game is updated, so you can use your mods with peace of mind

So imma rant here for a bit. They made the individual CC stuff like Hellfire, tesla cannon etc. free. And their original quests just start as you load the game. BUT during the new Enclave quest there is a terminal that lists locations of those individual quests. Why don't just make it so the quests would trigger when you select an entry in the terminal? They did the alternative quest start for some CC quests in Skyrim AE, so why not here?
