Need help around SSM1

Good evening!
I've been using SSM1 for about two weeks now, I saw that I got a city plan with the mod so decided to test it out. The settlement it made caused me fair frame drops from 60 to 40-30-20 and occasionally a CTD.

Is there any optimized city plan to download?
Or am I allowed to install SSM2 since it had a better city plan which doesn't cause quite a lag?
Id remove everything that sim settlements made, uninstall it and install the SSM2. On the same save of course. Or will it cause the game to bug?

Sorry to hear SS1 is not playing nice in your game world...

Would need to know which settlement and which city plan was used, to be able to even make a guess about why your fps are tanking.

SS1 can ONLY be removed from your save file if you roll back to a save from BEFORE you installed it. NO exceptions.
SS1 and SS2 can NEVER be installed in the same save game. again there are - No exceptions.

Alright good to know then I won't mess with the mod. SS1 is quite good accept the city plans.

Maybe this response is to late to help the OP, but I had trouble with some of the RitC city plans as well.

For Sanctuary, I am using:
Sim Settlements City Plan: Sanctuary-Junk Town By Uituit

It's awesome! It only builds a reasonable amount, and leaves plenty of room to build more in Sanctuary if you choose. I think it works best if you have the Junk Town AddOn for the plots.
