What mods do I need for this City Plan?
It keeps crashing whenever I approach it
It's City Level 0
and I've already installed Wasteland Ventures 2-in-1

Hi! Could anyone tell me which military plot to select for the front gate. I want to make sure I have the right one.

It is a plot named "Wall gate" (Wasteland Venturers all-in-one) that is set as default if I remember correctly, it has three different random looks at level 3, you can change between them by refreshing the plot.

Thank you. Most of the plots have been defaulting to what I see in the youtube video tour but I have not yet leveled up the city to level 3 so I am not certain. What I have now is a giant red robot at the gate. I will go check the name of the plot. What options do I select for the townhouses? They are the metal versions, yes?

If you have the add-on packs the designer used installed, you have to set "Designers Choice" in the City Manager holotape and then refresh/rebuild the City.

Should take the guess work out.

Hi! The townhouses are the metal versions, any version works for level 2, and for level 3 the one on higher ground is Plumber (player house or 5-bed version as suits you best) and the other one is Quartermaster.

As MrCJohn says, Designer's Choice should give you the "right" designs for all plots but the Townhouses, like the advanced industrial plots, don't follow Designer's Choice so you'd have to set them manually. And if you have Wasteland Venturers 1 and 2 as separate mods, only the designs from WV1 will show up for Designer's choice. If you have WV all-in-one, all plots should confirm to Designer's choice. Hope this helps! :)

Thank you for the reply. I do have designer's choice set. For some reason the game built a tire cave where one metal townhouse should have gone and a Wasteland Lounger for the second story townhouse. It was only by finding the video tour that I figured out what should have been in those spots. It also seems quite buggy if you choose the correct building option after the the fact. The game insisted on building that Wasteland Lounger regardless of the building option I selected. I had to delete the residential lot and replace it to get it to build the Metal Townhouse after which the lot was un-powered which necessitated adding a generator.

[strikeout]As for having the add-on packs the designer used. Could you please point me in the direction of where that is documented? I missed that information.[/strikeout] Found answer above.

@Tinuvia - Thank you. I discovered after asking that I do not have the ability to select the plan. The lots are behaving like heavy industrial lots where the building plans must be researched before becoming available. With auto-select set the first thing that got built was a player home which I did not want. So I had to reset the lot back to level one to get another plan researched. The one that had formerly been a Wasteland Lounger would not upgrade at all which is when I figured out it had no power.

/One last edit: Reading through this thread again. Is there a difference between Wasteland Venturers all-in-one and Wasteland Venturers and Wasteland Venturers 2? I did not install the all-in-one version as I thought it was unnecessary already having the other two.

Short version: The All-in-One contains all of both WV1 and WV2 and replaces both. The good news is that last I checked, the authors are doing a fantastic job with the tedious task of keeping both the separated and AIO options fully updated in parallel. That's a big headache that not everyone undertakes, so I wanted to take a second to recognize that.

The bad news, though, is that Designer's Choice requires you have the same PLUGIN as the designer, if I'm not mistaken. If the designer used the AIO, and you're using the separated versions of 1 & 2, you'll get errors in plot selection. Likewise, the reverse.

I don't know that there's currently a solution other than making sure which version the designer used.

P.S. Caveat to all of the above, I haven't actually played a full play-through in almost a year & a half because of several factors, but have been in-game a bunch building city plans the last few months for the contests.

The best solution IMO is for City Planners to use the AIO since it's the generally optimal choice due to saving an ESP slot, so most of us will be running the AIO as well. Only on Xbox would this not be the case because IIRC there is not an AIO due to the file size limits.
