Looking for clean city plans, any out there?

Hi
Dropping in to ask if there are any clean city plans out there for various places? By clean i mean homes and such which have no holes in them and look like purpose built to keep heat. I'm trying to one step at a time to get rid of the fo4 "living in ruins" troupe.

Original fallouts and f3:nv had shanty towns, but in warmer climates and only in the poorest places.
Hard to imagine any sane person would live in a bust stop - in boston of all places. No doubt they are cozy during winters.
Any pointers? Not really sure where to start.

Hummm, :umnik2

I can’t speak for any city plan author. But, I haven’t seen one yet like that or where the tag line is something like: prewar-modern or neo-noir 50’s city plan.”
:pardon
In general, the “shanty” is the basic theme of Fo4 and the SS base mod. Many of the add-on authors have some very refined plots and go into prewar spaces and advanced technical “future state” themed plots. Ha, I like the “creatively-corny” theme myself. I am a very-very lucky user in that regard. :crazy

To get that feel you might look into a settlement overhaul and then use some internal plots and player placed and selected external? If you go this route Crimsomrider for settlement overhauls is my all-time favorite author and Madunit is one that has always peaked my interest. :umnik2

You maybe can ban plots “never done this myself, just the thought of it makes me shiver with emotional pain” or maybe just use the ASAM to change them.

To really nail the clean look, you may just have to resort to selecting and placing them yourself? And an overhaul like clean and simple?

Share some screenshots if you can when you get it figured out?

Not a city plan and I know it hasn’t been updated in a long time, but Kevbal’s add-on Home Improvements AIO has some super lush residential plots. If I remember correctly all of them are entirely the opposite of shanty styled. There might even be a cabin with a fireplace and a chimney.

Yep, in the year 1 mega pack.

I use the A-frame and log cabin all the time.

He also has interior cell dungeons in some of them. :crazy Bwhahaha,

I really miss kevbal!

Hey, that kinda depends on how far you want to take clean. I don't think there are any 'Institute or pre-war' clean but check out Javawalk's city plans. In particular look at Western Starlight Transfer Settlements Blueprint and the Taffinington Hotel. Neither are completely clean, but they are by leagues above the tin and rotting wood shacks.

Potentially helpful tip from the Conqueror FAQ:

Can I use my own City Plans?
"Is there a way to add my own settlement designs to the list of Conqueror pre-builds without creating a full City Plan?"

Yes. You can export your settlements from a playthrough, make them into single level city plans, and use them with Conqueror to make a super fast way to start new games with all of your settlement work intact. This would solve the problem of crashing due to overexertion of the system, because you know what your system can handle and so can just use the settlement designs that weren't too much for it from previous saves. Take any TS blueprint - and stick it through this: https://www.simsettlements.com/tools/cpmaker.php If you don't understand the options, you should just leave them as default and you're good to go.

There was a few plots in the past I banned. Corner Pallet being one of them because it messed with the bed count/sheltering.

You could also do something like ban all non-vault plots when building in Vault 88.

However if you are one of them micromanagement freaks (like me) and you pick all plots then banning aint very useful.

Does the banned plot list save into a city plan? If it does that would be great for the limited randomness to go with a them you create.

There is an option somewhere (City Planner's Desk?) as to whether or not bans override Designer's Choice.
