Longfellow's Island

Notoriously stubborn and independent, Old Longfellow lived alone on an island away from the citizens of Far Harbor. He planned to keep it that way, until some like-minded settlers convinced him to open his land to others (booze may or may not have been involved) in order to reclaim what the Fog had stolen from them. He agreed, as long as the settlers were not trappers or Children of Atom. So the settlers built Longfellow’s lonely cabin into a sprawling, self-sufficient town that was well-defended from anything the Island dared to throw at them.
Supports 14 settlers + city leader
Add-on packs used: Flotsam & Jetsam (critical for water plots), Wasteland Ventures, Ruined Homes & Gardens, Sim Settlements Scrappers

Plot List
Agriculture: 3

Welcome to Longfellow’s Island, a haven for booze-loving fishermen and hunters. If you want to cause trouble, beware: the entrance has some trigger-happy guards and the Turret Tunnel™.

Once past the entry tunnel, the left side of the docks holds most of the fishing, industry, and crafting. There’s also a small restaurant and recreational areas to relax.

Looking past the only two houses on the left docks, the right docks hold more homes, two shops, and the moonshine distillery. And no, we don’t currently have any more free samples because Longfellow drank them. Isn’t he great?

Head down towards the water facing Far Harbor and enjoy the excellent view that these residents enjoy every day. Continue down the docks past the guard plot and you’ll find a small sailboat and several rowboats for some bay fishing. Don’t get too close the Far Harbor’s docks though; the residents don’t always look before they toss fish guts into the water. Of course, in Jimmy’s case, the guts hit him on purpose.

Looking towards Longfellow’s private cabin (enter at your own risk), you can see our large farm, the windmills, and the green building that holds a few residents on the bottom floor. The top floor is the big bosses. They haven’t finished decorating yet, but they’ve probably got other things to do.

Behind Longfellow’s overlooking the cliffs sits the final homes and the last industrial plot. Even though these residents prefer a little more privacy, they still benefit from covered sitting areas and have a wonderful view of the sea.

I had so much fun with the Far Harbor assets, especially the buoys. I actually had about twice as many but had to take them down because...build limit :(
Liquor shack, plus one of five gnome scenes.

Woah that'd be a lotta buoys!

This is spectacular! The detail is awesome, the signage is super cool, and I love how you managed to make the vanilla parts fit in perfectly while still being a sort of center/setpiece. Way to go!

I even had buoys on trees :)
Thanks! Decorating is probably my favorite part of settlement building, especially if its coastal-themed settlements. Glad you like it!
