Primary Bug Report Let Sleeping Dogs Lie - Quest does not advance after trying to give Cola dog food and Cola is non-interactable

the quest to check on old man Paul's buddy was fine heard whimpering and found the hurt dog picked up and took it to old man Paul, asked to give Nuka some meat when to talk to dog to offer it the meat didn't react at all also the dog only moves when i use my character to push it around the dog is just standing there now behind a house in sanctuary , found out Paul wanted some meat for Nuka "gave" it to him but the problem about this is that he didn't take it, it didn't even take it out of my inventory and sometimes when I'm talking to him he just keeps walking until he is out of dialogue range and it cancels it. thank you in advance for fixing this bug or a solution that can correct this

1 issue out of two is fixed was able to give the meat to Paul and complete the quest but Nuka won't follow him though but maybe they don't any way but I feel like they are suppose to wander around at least
 
Version c fixed the quest enough that it ran smoothly, completed, Old Paul still wants food but I don't think he's actually taking food. I made sure to have 1 can of dog food in inventory, dialogue to give it to him. It was still in my inventory. I talked with him again to give him meat the next time, he says he ran out, thanks me, meat still in inventory. He also walks away like they do in vanilla, interrupting the dialogue. Not sure it's working here, but I don't know if he wants food every day or what. Doggie does wander around and make noises though. Quest did complete.

The same for me.

Of note: If you talk to the dog in the shack without closing the door, the door clips in and out of the cut scene when you first interact with Cola.

Need to update this. Doggie did indeed wander a few feet initially, but now does not move or do anything at all despite length of time or distance from the settlement since. Old Paul still asks for food, and giving him the one dog food I have in inventory does not seem to be working as I still have that one can in my inventory each time.
 
Playing on 1.0.0.c, I have never had an older version installed on this save, had no trouble picking the dog up and getting her back to Old Paul. Afterwords, Cola stands in the same place (where Old Paul was when I completed the quest) and just stands there. Old Paul frequently walks away mid-dialogue, and on the rare occasions that I manage to get the dialogue to complete, the dog food / meat is not removed from inventory and no progress is made.

Pulled the quest stages (and dialogue info) with FO4Edit and used several combinations of setting/resetting the quest stages with console. The closest I ever got it to "working" was after finishing the dialogue to give Old Paul dog food, and then setting the quest stage to 20 (has given dog food). It actually removed the dog food from my inventory, but then as soon as the hunger timer completed it went right back to being broken.
 
So,cola is not able to be interacted with,and the marker is sitting above a small pile of debris inside the shack,have I missed something,is there an update I'm missing,I updated the mod today,and I have to mention it's on a exsisting save,where I left the game until an update was available,I'm just not understanding what I'm doing wrong here.

This was fixed many patches ago. I have only one playthrough where the dog was at the marker (v1.0.0f) Most of the time it would get pushed behind the door. My advise is to close the door before you interact with the dog.

This was finally fixed in v1.0.0L. It was soooooo nice getting a breather from Old Paul badgering me all the time. I wanted to create a mod to make a weapon that shot cans of dog food.....

I'm having an issue where when I take Nuka Cola to Paul I get a crash to desktop on his second line, where he notes the dog seems to be in a bad way.
