Just upgraded to RotC 2.0, how to convert complex city plans to optimized?

Hey all,

I just came back to Fallout after a while and grabbed all the Sim Settlements updates. I saw this included introducing optimized city plans with complex being an additional mod. I want to convert my cities to the optimized version for framerate gains so I did not install in the complex cities add on.

I noticed my previously lvl 3, 26 settler Sanctuary now says 26/15 settlers so I guess it worked? I ran the refresh would gave me a few frames back not noticed the additional plots the complex plans add were still there.

Is there any way to convert a lvl 3 pre patch (so complex I guess) to the new optimized version without blowing the city up and starting over? Thanks!

It will convert them automatically if you don't install the complex plans. Simply run the Refresh City option on the City Planner's Desk blueprint menu for any of the settlements you want to update.

It's safe to do so any time after you receive the pop up warning you about the separation of Complex plans to separate files.

Thanks! What about the over settlement (26/15 on sanctuary for example)? Just leave it?

If all of the plots are built and the numbers are like that, be careful about refreshing as some of the platforms/stairs may be removed making it hard for your settlers to reach their plots.
