Yeah... Murkwater was getting attacked (for 10th time this day) and I was in the middle of killing everyone in the attack when it suddenly failed... Im guessing the timer for it ran out... in the middle of the fight? lol.. I kinda know because the mission for The Slog also failed.

Assault missions will fail after 12 hours if you don't show up.
Did all your gang get killed during the defend Murkwater? Because that's an auto fail once they do.

Civillians / Slaves still were shooting at them, the guard wasn't around cause hes bugged, I didn't just fail Murkwater though, I failed The Slog as well, so it was the 12 hour timer that ran off, might I suggest turning that up? Like, there's players that play on survival, and I was inside a vault doing a mission, I didn't have time to trace back, even if I did its a long way on foot because you can't fast travel on survival.

Also, there should be a check to see if you're already fighting in that settlement for it to not fail in the middle of the fight

The failure won't occur from the timer if you have triggered the combat. Instead the other failure mechanism is all guards being killed.

In this case, since your guard is acting strange - he likely wasn't counted so Conqueror thinks you had one guard and when it checked part way through the attack and couldn't find him, assumed he died and failed it.

I see, I only thought this was the case bc as soon as I failed Murkwater, (but the fight was still going on, kinda) , The Slog's mission failed as well, so I assumed it was the timer, must have been bad timing I guess, thanks for clearing it up
