Is there a way to turn robot recruitment off?

I got a robot the other day from Automotron as a settler. He was assigned to a farm but he just stood there. Never moved. Ever. Is there any way I can just not have robot settlers recruited?
Thanks.

Iirc robot settlers won't look like they're doing work but if assigned to a farm or defense they will still do the job. The only thing they can't actually do is shopkeeping. Otherwise the robot will harvest food from the plant much like the graygarden robots.

That's good to know but I hate that it just stand there in the middle of the road doing nothing. Would Sim Settlements break if I disabled the robot using console? I want to get rid of it.

Instead of using console why not use the workshop to move it to a settlement you don't care about. You could go there to shoot it or hack it to self destruct, that way you won't be attacking a settlement you care about.

make it a provisioner. there's really no need to console command it. unless you like potentially breaking your game for fun.

I manually set a robot down a path of carrots (not a plot) so that it actually walks that path. This way it's is producing food and looks like it is on patrol. Other robots I just use as provisioners.
