Just curious cause as of right now with SSM 3 on 1 it takes up more than 1/4 of the available mod space.

And if you want any mods that add armor or weapons that's a major problem since most armor and weapon mod can go any where from like 50.00mb all the way to 360.00mb for a single weapon or armor the pack's are somewhat better with the reduction in mb's requirement but still this is the main issue for 90% of xbox players...

In all fairness to @kinggath this seems like something he cares about and gives more than some attention to.

Just consider that version 3.5.2 of the 3in1 weighed in at 886.17 MiB. The current version is trimmed down to 666.4 MiB. That's 220 mb in the wash and about a 25% reduction in file size since the beginning of the year.

Conqueror is getting bigger, but stuff keeps getting added.

Every update seems to squeeze out a little more space for us poor Xboxers. I think we should keep this in mind. There are a lot of Mod Authors out there who care much less for us.

It's tough being a kid in a candy store and having to choose between favorites (us Xboxers) when there are other kids who can have it all (PCers). Most of us suffer from mod list bloat: But think of how much worse it is for those poor sods on PC.:lol

I just hope that Kinggath doesn't decide that the direction of the mod and his vision for it has outpaced the limitations of the console and then puts us outside the house looking in on the party.

Yeah i love kinggaths mods! That's why i have 4 of the main ones installed. I was just curious if the file sizes where still being worked on or if they where just focusing on new content for now... Cause as of now i am stuck at 37.85mb due to 3 of the sim settlements mods being so large on console, and the rest of the space is Def_Ui, and Ai overhaul mods.

I can't even download the new bow mod that came out recently which is sad since bows are my preferred weapons in every game that has them...

So if anyone can verify that the file sizes are still being worked on i would really appreciate it!:ty2

I've pretty much trimmed it down as far as possible.

The final step for the file size will be creating "Framework Only" versions of the mods, where literally all content is gutted and it's just the code necessary to run everything. That will be for very advanced users only though, as out of the box they will do virtually nothing unless you install addon packs.

For Conqueror, it will be nice for non-raider players as the character and voice assets take up a fair amount of space, so if you're going to play with a Faction Pack and ignore Jammer's questline, you could trim a lot from Conq.

Again, my concern is that it's going to be confusing for a lot of users, so I haven't pulled the trigger on anything like that yet.

It also creates another opportunity to cause problems on patch days... for example, I had multiple times where I uploaded the wrong archive for Lite mode players when that was a thing and caused a little chaos. Every time I have another variant to manage, it makes patch management more difficult.

Do you think the new cloud servers coming to xbox live will help in anyway?

Have you thought about make a stand alone version of SSM 3in1. But with the pre-built settlements option built in without the quests from conqueror.

Only reason i ask is cause i like having the prebuilt settlements and stuff but the quest and AI scirpting that comes with it get in the way of my deadly raiders, gunners, and super mutant's mods and so i can't install conqueror because of that. Which is sad since i love your pre-built settlements and it really helps out on xbox if 75% of the settlements are pre-built cause there is less background scripts running i guess but it just makes the game more immersive to play.

No, the prebuilt stuff requires Workshop Framework's codebase to function.

Isn't workshop framework's it's own separate mod? I'm pretty sure that's what i have install already without conqueror being installed? Or is that something different?

It is - but I would have to make it a requirement for SS in order for the CP Prebuild code to be part of SS. Conqueror does require it, but SS does not.

If I suddenly added it as a req, the mod would break for a lot of players who didn't realize the requirement was added and would likely screw up a lot of save files, so I'm not going to do that.

Not sure if Bethesda.net changed your requirements for SS without your input but as far as i know workshop framework has been a requirement since rise of the commonwealth since that when i first downloaded it....?

Just did a quick check on Bethesda.net and RotC and SS do not require Workshop Framework.
