Increasing Build Limit for a City Plan Causes CTD

I'm using RoTC city plan with Hangman's Alley. I increased the build limit to accommodate the needs of the citi plan since it was showing "can't build anymore" and the city plan was not progressing. Unfortunately, after this each time I get near Hangman's Alley my game gets a CTD crash.

I looked at ways to "reset" the settlement and saw a very detailed guide using the City Manager 2078 holotape or console commands. The guide is dated to 2018 and neither the holotape has the expected options nor does the console command get recognized.

Please let me know if there are other ways aside from staring a new game to fix or clear the overgrown settlement.
 
I don't think increase build limit cause ctd, if it does, it should ctd right after u issued that cmd, not when go near it.
There is a remote settlement feature either under the ss2 and workshop framework, the description stated may help on this issue. Or try disable relevant mods then test whether ctd when near the settlement to find the cause

For the remote settlement feature, would that be within a holotape?
 
i can't recall, if u have mcm, explore there. afaik, mcm give best options, what u can do in the holotape should be in mcm. certain thing in mcm, u can't do in holotape, eg like hotkey

CTDs are kind of a big issue lol. My educated guess would be a lot of plots trying to upgrade at once. I'd try and manually disable upgrades on everything in Hangman's before increasing build limit. And faux power the place, just in case.

Forgot to follow up here about your suggestion for remote settlement management tool in MCM. I found it under Workshop Framework and it worked as expected.

When I fast traveled to Hangman's Alley afterwards, the settlement was empty with just the folks I sent there. Interestingly, the NPCs were still running their scripts as if the city plan was active. And it actually was After building a City Planner's Desk and selecting the same plan, the building animation didn't play. I ran through the Raze My Settlement holotape that was supposed to scrap the settlement, but it left some items.Them I went to manage the workbanch and used the Reset Layout option. That did the trick, as it rebuilt everything using the city plan. Last thing to note, I had to scrap a random item for the build limit to recalculate.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help. I know I'm touching Hangman's Alley from now on
 
That was kelmen, not me. But yeah, I'm not touching Hangman's with a 10 foot pole since starting SS2 :)
