Incorrect dates on home page posts

The posts on the home page are displaying the date of the last post in the thread, not the date that the thread was posted.

As as side note, is there some way to stop the auto-scrolling of the posts? Or scroll back up after it auto-scrolls down?

I noticed today that the date/time is likely being pulled from the RSS feed using FeedWind. In that case it might not be a simple fix unless XenForo has configuration options to pick which dates appear in the RSS feeds. Or if there's another option to display news without using the RSS feed, such as with a XenForo addon.

I'm guessing FeedWind is responsible for the auto scrolling too.

A few other minor gripes about the forums:
  • The Latest News forum overrides the user's chosen theme and forces the default light theme.
  • The site accepts both www.simsettlements.com or simsettlements.com. Personally, I'm logged in to simsettlements.com as that's what I have bookmarked, but when I click a link from Discord or other posts that use www.simsettlements.com, I ended up logged out because I don't have cookies set for that domain.
I suggest either setting XenForo to set the cookie for both domains (if possible) or force a redirect from one domain to the other so that everyone's using the same domain. (XenForo has a settings for this called Enable board URL canonicalization)

Edit: The domain issue applies to https:// and http:// as well.

https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php
http://www.simsettlements.com/site/index.php
https://www.simsettlements.com/site/index.php
All of these are being treated as separate sites.

I wondered why clicking on a link from Discord sometimes showed me as logged out. Thanks for this! I'll point it out to Kinggath.

The forced theme settings can easily be changed for the forum. That must have been set at some point for reasons unknown since I didn't force the theme. Will dip in and fix that.

Edit: Now fixed
