I really need more ingame intel about my settlement

I imagine a tool that tells you everything about the settlement you are currently in:

  • A list of all settlers who are currently in the settlement. clicking on a settler would reveal all details about them within the settlement.
  • A list of things the settlement needs at this point to function properly.
  • A list all resources and stuff the settlement is currently making and how much of it is stored.

I am really overwhelmed with the micromanaging in the settlements. I cannot be the only one who struggled with all the little information the mod gives you without a proper overview? Or is there something like this and I am just completely missing it?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want, but you can already get a view that shows the Virtual Resource income/expenditure of a specific settlement and the total network, by setting a hotkey for "Cycle Report Level" (the one I have set as "N" here):

Which means you can get a view like this:

... as you can see, Tenpines here isn't producing anything except a little Fertilizer for me (Caravan Plots do that) plus some Caps, but they are holding a handful of resources that must've been produced elsewhere. (this is the "Basics" built-in City Plan but I add an Industrial: Junk gathering plot and a 1000-storage shipping container to every settlement)
Note that it takes a bit of processing time for it to actually work out what to show you when you toggle the view mode of that screen, don't rush it

The other functions you mention are pretty common requests though; the most popular Suggestion over in the Suggestions subforum is actually adding more 'report views' for that kind of thing.

Not sure how a full list of settlers would come to life but, there is a tool to tell you all about a specific settler. You unlock it at some point in the main story.

That tool is a beauty, but I think the OP is looking for reports like in SS1, as yaugie alluded to. I would love to see these reports again, and I believe from previous livestreams, that these are on the list, but the priority isn't high (yet).

I highly doubt that the engine is capable of providing the information that Johnny is looking for, but I'm hoping the team can find a way!

I'm not the original poster, but this is a really nice thing to know. Thanks for explaining this!

As post above, this is amazing information for people who want to know the nitty-gritty of production.

Do note that in the above screenshots, I had all maintenance costs turned off, if you have those on it will show the negative numbers for all of those in that view too.

I would love to have an overview of food and water, because i can´t seem to get any exess to resurche a cure or vaxine even if all my settlements seem to produce more then enough. I am not sure if it is a bug or the Hud includes recurces shared from an other settlement.

Are you me?

Found another user here in the forums that made a mod called "Sim Settlements 2 Settlement Management Terminal" that can track a lot of different things. One thing it does that I really love is giving you a big overview of all the settlers in the settlement its built at. It also lets you see their special stats and all the plots they're assigned to. Super useful in my opinion so I'll drop the link for it here

It would be nice to just take a fixed minimum amount from the settlement, something like this could be managed from the logistics department desk.

Sounds like a great find. There must be a ton of awesome SS2 stuff that most people have no idea about.

This mod is very recent, but it's great. It has shown me that massive surpluses of water can suddenly disappear for seemingly no reason. It has also proven that although I have a 180 surplus of water at the Castle (and a 150 surplus network wide), none of it reaches HQ even with a direct supply agreement. However, making a supply agreement with a city plan settlement often gets me an amount of water (30-50) even though the settlement in question doesn't even produce a surplus!
