I found a couple of mods

I dont know. I use this to loot -
I don't like it for some reason but I love LOOTMAN!

 
We need a mod to randomly spawn essential recruitable settlers at specific locations...

1) select a random location.
2) scan for spawned setters, if none exist, spawn a random number.
3) assign each one a name using a random npc name.
4) set as essential and allow a simple recruitment package using vanilla voice assets.

...this should give the illusion of a more vibrant and alive Commonwealth as revisiting areas will show the area as beling 'alive'.
I wonder if anyone will attempt?
 
I sure hope so... once I'm done with this project I'm def going to start developing mods like this(there's a few more I've got on tap that we could use). It's sounds easy enough... I just need to framework the scripts so they work together and we're gold. :grin

I'd love to start working on that and other mod ideas this upcoming week, but this application has me bogged for a bit. Though... I might take a week off to look into scripting, the events and function calls... may my light fingered keyboard and Todd stirring imagination never fail us!

I got this one handled...
I may have to try that one. I tried Immersive Settlers but had a conflict with SS2 as it kept renaming Stodge and crew. Which didn't make sense as they already have names. And then when I got to HQ everything was a mess.

You should be able to. It doesn't require anything other than F4SE and some F4SE plugins.

The mod won't rename any NPC whose name is not on the whitelist. There is MS Names.xlsx spreadsheet that can be edited to add names to the whitelist to account for mod added NPCs. IIRC, the default whitelist includes dlc, SS2 and We are the Minutemen.

Thank you! I was reading the description on the SUP FASE and it is all Greek to me.
I guess all I need to know is it works. :grin
I am going to give it a try on one of my other games and if it works I will add to this one.

SUP F4SE is a modder's resource. It does nothing on its own. It adds script functions to the game that other mod authors can use.
