How to upgrade plots

Hello, I’m new to ss2, I’ve gotten to aiden but so far none of my plots have upgraded to level two. What are the requirements for the plot upgrades?
 
The standard rules are:

Food, Water, and Defense meters on the HUD on the left to 100% full.
Settlement Happiness above 70.
Plot has power.
Enough resources for them to be able to afford their upgrade.
At least 3 ingame days to have passed since they were built/since the last upgrade.

If you do not meet any of those requirements, the "HOLO HUD" over each plot will show a red icon in the bottom row that tells you what they are missing.

Correct, you can turn those requirements off if you want.
I also said "standard rules" because it's technically not the exact same for every single plot type (eg Agricultural don't require the Food meter to be full because that'd just be stupid)

Post was / is for clarification for benefit of new players. Second time played chapter 2, I turned off all requirements - so I could see fully developed plots. Now I play mostly standard...
