How to play Sim Settlements 2 in VR

Oh, nice! Yeah, I went and looked it up, I was excited to realize it was an expansion by the actual creator because that meant it was probably in SS2. Looking forward to it! (I am very excited now.)

Thank you for all your help, I hugely appreciate it!
No problem, I am glad to help people experience this amazing mod in Fallout 4 VR. Hope you enjoy playing!

Hm, it doesn't seem like the HudFramework GenericMessage pop-ups stop even if you disable all the City management holotape HUD options... Strange. Anyone else having this issue?

Just a warning a lot has changed the cities no longer level up(To save space for xbox and Potato PCs).

Just checking in, is everyone else who plays in VR getting the HUDFramework pop-ups constantly while in a settlement, even with all the HUD options in the City Manager holotape disabled? Or is it just me? It's getting really annoying...

Yes, I am still getting the pop-ups. I tried turning them off but it doesn't work. They are getting really annoying. But I am going to try HUDFramework Auto-Patcher and see if that works.

I found this online: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5118900-hudframework/page-74

Great I tried using FO4edit and now I can't even launch the game via FO4 script extender. Then I went back to check fo4edit and then all the headers for all my other mods are all .95000 as well.

I know it's a bit off topic but does anyone know how to get Place Everywhere working in VR?

I can't stand how I can build a nuclear reactor but can't clean up some trash. Also all the other scrap mods break precombines and ruin performance.

So I am running into a bit of a problem. I have followed the steps in the thread and am able to find the comic. The problem is that when I build the radio beacon and link it up to a generator nothing happens.

The stranger doesn't appear, only settlers spawn. I have tried redowloading ss2 and the required mods, installing and uninstalling the game but nothing seems to work.

Try deleting Fallout4Custom.ini and Fallout4Prefs.ini. It worked for me.

I'm having issues with the vig-o-matic.

A 3D model of a screen pops up with no information on it. It's just not working.

How to play Sim Settlements in VR
With the release of the SS2 trailer, I saw that lots of people asking how to get Sim Settlements 2 to work in VR. For the past year, I have been playing SS1 in VR with loads of mods. So I decided to make this post to help anyone who is trying to play SS1 or SS2 in VR.

DISCLAIMER! EVERY TIME YOU DOWNLOAD/UPDATE SS2 OR ANY MODS RELATED TO IT YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT IN FO4VREDIT TO HEADER 0.95.
ALSO IF YOU USE FO4VRSE A POPUP WILL APERRER JUST PUSH OK IT JUST WORKS!

UPDATE: I will make a video in the future explaining how to download it and how to fix the problems y'all been having.

What you need:
FO4Edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737
Sim Settlements 2: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47976/
Mods that Sim Settlements 2 requires:

Now install Sim Settlements as you would normally for VR. Once Sim Settlements is downloaded in your Fallout 4 VR profile go to the FO4Edit file and unzip it into any file you want if haven't already. Inside this file, there should be an application called FO4Edit.exe rename it to FO4VREdit.exe.

Now open FO4VREdit.exe. A window should pop up called Module Selection, cheack the boxes next to Fallout4.esm, SS2.esm, WorkshopFramework.esm, and HUDFramework.esm [Also SS2Extended.esp if you installed it.]. Now push ok.

Now you will be brought to this page:

Click SS2.esm, then where it says HEDR - Header click the 1.000000. You will get a warning, click Yes I'm absolutely sure. Change the 1.000000 to a 0.95, then push enter.

Now repeat for WorkshopFramework.esm[And SS2Extended.esp if you got it]. Then click the three-bar button in the top left and push save[You can also use CTRL + S], a window will pop up, push ok.

Now you can open your game and play! If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them in the comments.

Update: Just tested it out, Sim Settlements 2 works in VR!

Thank you SO MUCH!!! I was about to give up on SS2. Over the last 5 days, I'd tried just about everything. Reinstalled the game, loaded only the 4 required plug-ins. I tried installing SS2 via Vortex, then NMM, and then MO2 and was getting nowhere! Then I happened on this one fix. Thank you again!

How important is the HUDFramework? Those popups are very annoying.
It's optional. However it does provide the ability to see most of the resource requirements and progress when building settlements so hard to play without.

I've followed these instructions and the magazine just won't spawn. (New game, and a game just after setting up sanctuary). Even deleted all of the fallout4custom and fallout4prefs files.

Any idea what the issue could be? The saves are marked with an "M". Disabled all other mods. (They were basic movement, texture and weather mods).

Thanks!
