Old Post How to assign an Overseer to a vassal

Hey Guys,

I Have updated to the latest version of all Sim and Conq stuff, but I still have a few questions. I heard it in a video or stated in a pop up that you can assign a Raider to a farmer, as a Raider will get pissed if you make them a farmer.

So I have Red Rocket as my main base and I have Abernathy as my vassal outpost, and I wanted to assign a few Raiders to watch over the farmers and keep them working!

I initially attempted to send a Raider to Abernathy but that option was not available, currently there are no Raiders at Abernathy at all. So how do I get a Raider to Abernathy to beat, ah, I mean motivate my farmers.

Or does this mean that if I wanted to set up a farm plot at a base that has Raiders in it, I can then transfer a vassal and assign a Raider to him.

Just fuzzy on the mechanics, as it seems I cannot send Raiders to vassal settlements.

Does this mean I have to make a settlement an Outpost to send Raiders to it.

One other unrelated question. Is it better to use the Desk to recruit Raiders or use a Beacon?

Thanks.

Unlike Nuka World, your vassals do not have raiders watching over them and you can't send raiders to vassals or vassals to Outposts. Cannot speak as to whether or not they ever will with Conqueror. You could dress up defense plot people as at raiders to give the settlement the look, but they'd really just be settlers needing settler things.

RE: recruitment. BOTH. Absolutely both. Donate to the War Desk to recruit raiders or donate to Jammer + have a beacon. If you like add-ons, get MJC's Raider/Slave cages to spawn more to boot. Your raiders will die by the boat load. You need fresh recruits.

If you want a raider at your vassal, have vassal control on prior to the attack. Once the attack is completed, before your raiders walk away. Open workshop select the raider and them move them to the settlement you just took over. If you do that while they are still in that workshop area you can move them there. (I have no idea what AI package they will use, if they are raiders or default back to settlers, my experience with them is they don't like to work, even doing guarding)

You will never be able to move them back to a raider outpost, so maybe better to "promote" from within.
