How is sim settlement with custom settlement locations

Grab tonights update and install all 3 files. Grab the city plans for it too, if you're going for a Conqueror playthrough.

*Your* new RR settlement. Well its new to me. I'm doing my first (not pure update) mod list overhaul in about 6 months. But I'm gonna miss Evans Way....
One of the red rockets is right next to evans way, if that helps.

I've considered redoing it, too, but: you can barely get a plot in there. I don't see much of a point TBH. And I'm somewhat concerned about what happens if you have two settlements right next to each other.
Or it might be even worse, with EW actually sharing a cell with the RR. That would mean a hard conflict, aka "pick one or the other".

This is the actual problem. It was solved once in the past (IIRC hard cut at the cell boundary), but if I am being honest, I don't want to make any changes to accommodate Evans Way. You've got the Red Rocket Boston, and Fens Way Station, and Home Plate Full Settlement, for nearby settlements that I know work well.

Just had a look at it. The cell border to the RR runs right through the rusty car and the dumpster on the west side of the courtyard. I'll file that at "you'd have to pick one or the other".

However, the RR could potentially be extended to cover the whole Evan's Way area. Could be made as an optional addon for the RR mod.

I agree.

Possible, but RR Boston is already one of the larger Red Rockets you could build at.

I just love the tight quarters. and map position. I mean you can only get about 12-14 plots in there and keep it looking good, but there's a multi story building to rebuild and those lights to replace and its perfectly position to be a central spoke in the down town Boston aria. Of the 15 that mod adds it is my absolute favorite spot. I'v just never been able to get the plots I build there to function properly.

That's totally his fault, though I don't even know how he messed up the area that way. It might be that the player home interior registered with WorkshopParent AGAIN, and took over the Location record.

It is? Wait are we even talking about the same one? I mean the one right south of Diamond City. How many cells does it span?

The build area is within the yellow border.

You can get quite a few full size SS plots in here.

It's less than one whole cell from the looks of it. Again, I don't have the CK here, but IIRC, the cell continues down and includes the building with the two chimneys. Left and right, your yellow lines might align with the borders, if it doesn't actually include parts of the railway. On top, it's probably somewhere at the blue building.

Adding a second cell shouldn't cause any trouble. That entire Evans Way Cul-de-Sac area should all be within the one cell below.

Thanks guys. A lot of good info here. I'll just have to be thorough when picking a mod and a spot for a settlement then :)
I made a Nuka World Settlement, with the whole purpose for me making it was to have a big sandbox for building with Sim Settlements. I might revisit it & try to make a City Plan for it someday, now that Settlement Raiding has become a thing with Conqueror.

They were not set up properly and broke the base game. Myself and @Rylasasin IIRC tried to help him fix them. The response we received was banning from his mods, so as far as I am concerned, all of his mods are to be considered broken, and I will never make city plans for them.
Wow that's terrible :(. I will never use his stuff.

He needs to be honest about the fact that his mod should be classified as a major overhaul. It touches many, many cells everywhere, and in fact is NOT compatible with basically every new settlement in the game.
Does it break them even if the settlement mods are loaded after BNS in load order? I have BNS but maybe I'd better get rid of it

Anyone tried SS with genolune's Children of Atom Overhaul? I cant link it because its not on the nexus any more but the last time i really used it it worked fine... but that was before SS was out.

Not sure. Originally, absolutely yes, but I pushed a patch esp out in my last update, that may fix it.
