How do I "start" Sim Settlements 2

I got it to work thanks Crazham. However I can not find where to craft asam sensors as they dont appear in my chem station. I have gone through the city management 2078 holo tape but cant craft sensors.. :(
 
You will need to complete quests to obtain ASAM sensors and then more quests to obtain the schematics to craft them. Once you set up a beacon an NPC will appear. That will start you on the path towards greatness.
 
I have started the quest. the guy that shows up has come and gone. I am now trying to finish "If I only had a hammer" or something like that. build ag and industrial plots... but no sensors...
 
You will get some ASAM from the end of the Hammer/Nail thing. Plus you can get a sensor for every piece of chalk you bring Sickle. Later you will have some quests that help you obtain schematics to build sensors. The thing is, SS2 isn't meant to just play straight through. When someone says to give them a few days, go play the rest of the game and come back. The settlements also need time to do their thing for upgrades and the like, and moving through the various regions of the game helps unload the shit that builds up if you spend too long in one area.
 
Is there a particular order that one should build the beacon to coincide with the Out of Time quest? I began speaking with Codsworth, we were going to go murder bugs, but then he just stood by the Sole Survivor's original house and wouldn't budge. It was after that I found the magazine, but didn't build a radio beacon as of yet. Instead, I ventured to Concord to complete the Let Freedom Ring quest with Preston, but encountered another bug where when putting on the power armor, it wouldn't proceed after grabbing the minigun. Even with console commands, hostiles (and most importantly the deathclaw) didn't appear. I've probably done at least 10 playthroughs (almost 2k ingame hours), and have never encountered bugs with either of the two quests. Could it be related to SS2?
 
Yeah, it's more tied to playing the game now. Build the beacon and you will be on the road. SS2 is meant to be a natural part of F4 gameplay, and it fits real nice!
 
I build a beacon and powered it up.
And waited.
Since now 3 new settlers have showed up over time, but no Stranger...
I think something is not right here...
 
I have been grinding my butt to powder to try to get this quest started, I've done some clean up in Sanctuary but i can't find where the darn magazine is at. I know it's a spoiler, so that's not going to be handed out in public forums, but if i could just have this push in private messages, it'd be greatly appreciated
 
I started a new game after updating Workshop Framework to v2.0.5 and SS2 to v1.0.0f. I played through the first 6 quests in the main questline with no problem.

Load order seems to be important.
  1. UOF4P (if used)
  2. HUD Framework
  3. Workshop Framework
  4. SS2
  5. The Rest...
