Hotfix 3.0.0a is up now
- Our programmers and quest designers are focusing on showstoppers first, ie. things that prevent progression.
- Some patch notes may seem innocuous and not related to showstoppers, that is because different people on the team can help with some of those things and they are easy to include.
- If you have a bug preventing you from progressing, you have a couple options:
1. Report the issue here: https://www.simsettlements.com/site/index.php?forums/ss2-questions/ once one of our team or community members can replicate it, it will get added to our internal tracker.
2. Try the cheat system to skip past the quest. You can find it in the City Manager 2078 Holotape under Tools > Cheats.
We do not recommend you do stage skipping with the setstage command at this time, as these quests are very interconnected and may be relying on particular stages being complete or not complete, so you could create a bad game state later.
- Disabled playing of Bink video that is apparently not supported from archives. This would have caused a black screen during the quest Resurgence.
- Fixed a bug during the quest No Man Left Behind where NPCs could get stuck in combat before meeting the player where they are meant to.
- Skipping the quest Art of War from the cheat holotape will now correctly set up Egret Tours Marina as if the player had completed the quest.
- Regenerated Precombine data for HQ cell.
- Removed an override of Lexington Apartments cell.
- Startup code to migrate Chapter 2 saves to Chapter 3 compatible will now run after the trigger for launching the first quest of Chapter 3.
