Help with fixing the If I had a hammer quest line

I've looked online for solutions to this seemingly somewhat common problem with not satisfying results. I know there is a way to use console to move quests forward but am not sure if that only works for original game quests or if it can be used in conjunction with mod quests. If it can be use with mod quests as well, please supply the needed info to manually move this quest along. If I understand it correctly, this quest is mainly a tutorial for the mod but I just want to move on and not worry about doing any more of the quest line if possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Nm, apparently I need to read a bit more. Guess I will try the finish all quests thing, but I assumed that was for ALL the games quests, not specifically the mod quests.

What's your problem with the quest though? It's not advancing past "build x plots" stage? If that's the case, manually assigning people (especially named ones) usually helps. I'm not sure if a lot of people run into that anymore. But the story gets more interesting so I'd suggest to not skip everything at first.

City Manager holotape -> Cheats menu. There is a quest skip option for the SS2 MQ.
Yeah thanks. Did that, which seemed to work for the most part but I seem to be stuck back at that tutorial guys place in Concord with some guy standing there that I think is supposed to continue the/a quest, but I can't get any dialogue out of him. No biggie though, I don't care.

That was ostensibly the problem I was running into, it kept asking for plots, thing is, everything was automated so I didn't really try to manually assign anyone. It's not a problem now anyway as I just used the cheat thing to move it forward, which solved the initial problem as far as I was concerned.
