Far Harbor DLC: Broken Quest, The Last Holdout

I want to report a broken quest in the Far Harbor DLC, "The Hold Out," in The National Park Visitor's Center settlement. I am running The Conquers' Expansion with the Sim Settlements Atom's Glory Liberator Faction Pack by Tinuvia.

Basically, when the game started, The National Park Visitor's Center was pre-populated with settlers and civilians. So when I approached the settlement, I set off the landmines but didn't speak to Uncle Ken until I was given the quest. Then I was told to prepare the defenses. So I placed a couple of turrets and waited.

After an extended period of time, the impending attack by trappers either never happened, or the quest just fails automatically. This prevents me from finishing all of the Far Harbor quests so I am unable to win over the people to get the positive ending that I am looking for which includes unlocking the 4 settlement sites in the DLC.

I don't know what's the culprit, and that if I were to restart the game and opted to not have those settlements to be populated by the mod (Longfellow's Cabin, Dalton Farm, Echo Lake Lumber, and National Park Visitor's Center), then I could prevent from this issue from occurring. I am wondering what I can do with my current save game to try to work around this quest scripting error so that I can at least unlock the last settlement which is at the National Park Visitor's Center.

I am playing on the Xbox One X so that means that I do not have access to console commands, or access to the Mod Configuration Menu since it was never ported for the Xbox. So are there any ideas on how I can work around this issue?

I may choose to restart my game, but I want to hear from you guys of what my other options are before I commit to this.

BTW, I did have another broken quest in that it automatically completed called, Turn Back The Fog, and I ended up with automatic access to Echo Lake Lumber.

Conqueror is to some extent an alternate way to play Fallout 4, meaning there can be a risk that some vanilla (or DLC) quests don't work as you've come to expect. Kinggath has added different ways to work around this though. One, as you mention, to opt out of having certain settlements prebuilt - and most quest bound settlements should be opted out by default. But if you already have them prebuilt, there's another workaround to claim ownership of a settlement. There is a Workshop Framework Controls holotape for people without MCM that can be crafted at the Chemistry Workbench. If you open the holotape when you are in a settlement, somewhere in there you should find an option to Claim This Settlement.

I'm not sure why the Uncle Ken quest failing prevents you from finishing all of the other Far Harbor quests, but the above solution should give you access to the settlement.

Yeah, I was thinking of restarting my playthrough but opting to have all of the DLC settlements not populated. But before I do, I'll tinker with that holotape that you mentioned and give it ago.

BTW, I do love how you get your "vision" from Atom to start the faction questline. I liked it!

Hope it works out!

Thank you :) we thought it would be fun to add a nod to the Far Harbor vision, as a role play reason to side with these maniacal cultists.

Was thinking woot turrets everywhere heaps of settlers to defend this is going to be easy then the raiders just didnt turn up. Brotherhood liberators so does mean one quest to help far harbour cant be completed will keep trying

希望能成功!

谢谢你,:) 我们认为添加对远港愿景的点头会很有趣,作为与这些疯狂的邪教徒站在一起的角色扮演理由。
