dirty plugins and using xedit on loot

I have two plugins that are "dirty". oddly enough, they are the dlc content for the game, contraptions workshop and vault tech workshop. these are the only dlc I have at this time. playing on a surface and loading in one at a time to make sure this thing can handle it. anyway, on loot I am prompted to use xedit 4.0 to quick clean these plug ins. thoughts on doing this please? and how do you do add xedit in the first place?

They would be identical to master files and are fine to remove, in fact it's recommended.

I ran FO4Edit 4.0.2, let it finish, then opened up Loot again. still says I have dirty plugins. all the dlc for FO4. so, im not sure what im doing wrong.

Run the cleaner.exe that's in the Fo4Edit folder, load only the dirty plugins and it will clean them.

yeah, just did that after noticing the cleaner in the folder. I ran one plugin.....still shows up as dirty in loot.

there are several entries highlighted. there's a message saying, " a filter has been applied. the treeview contents is fossilized and will not adjust structure to changes. please remove or re-apply the filter if necessary." am I to delete the highlighted entries.

Good god no.
It has already cleaned them, click on the messages tab at the bottom and it gives all the info.
