Maybe worth a look at old problem Going to post this here
On the PS3 Skrim had a save problem with the longer you played, the more data it had, would cause saving issues.
I know it was not the same engine but it is similar. Bethesda did eventually patch it.
Looking at how they patched it might give a led to what is going on.
Just saw a video talking about it, thought I would mention it.
I'm on PC, and this is with BRAND NEW SAVE FILES, SPECIFICALLY MADE for C2.

Again, do none of you actually read?

Is it possibly for you to ONLY install: F4SE, Buffout 4(Remember the manual install part of Buffout), Address Library For F4SE Plugins(Only a soft requirement), xSE PluginPreloader, HUDFramework, Workshop Framework, SS2 and SS2C2 and then post your Buffout4 crashlog on the forum?
Would help a lot in identifying the problem.

Buffout 4 Crashlogs are found in Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE
If I could read Buffout 4s crash log, then ywah, but I can't, because in unillegible.

Ok so no way to have any log and no way to reproduce, just it’s Ch 2. What is it you’re after? What could anyone do to correct your unknowable problem?

ITS FUCKING C2 THATS THE PROBLEM.

I gaurentee half of you didnt properly read my posts anyways, so im just gonna ignore those people. But again, ive done EVERYTHING to ANYTHING imaginable. Im a hardcore SSM supporter all the way back to the first versions when Fallout 4 modding was brand new. Now, I can't even play a new chapter to a better version of the mod, and I am extremely dissapointed.
1. It's only happening to you. So maybe it's PC and not C2 that's the problem.

2. I guarantee the people that actually wanted to help you aren't too enthusiastic anymore after this one. Good luck.

Again with the all caps.

I can read just fine. That's why i have no interest in helping you. You're too busy insulting people who take time to give you advice. It's your own fault.

Learn some manners and stop posting like a spoiled kid.
I hate to act like I'm part of this, but there's at least a 30% chance that he is a spoiled kid. Probably a Jets fan too, which explains the crankiness.

Ive done everything I was told and recommended. Vanilla Fallout 4 is fine obviously, activated ONLY SSM2 and WSFW, game was FINE, then I activate SMM2C2 as a test, CTD when I tried loading the save.

I'm telling you, something is increbily wrong with C2, and yes, normally is ME when it comes to certain things that experiences something NO ONE ELSE does.

So fucking sorry my life is cursed like that. Maybe if people listened to me FOR ONCE in my life Dutch, maybe I wouldn't be such a fucking prick.

I'm telling you, i've tried EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE, and it's clearly something with C2 fucking my whole game up, when im not even a god damn half hour into a CLEAN SAVE.

Edit: By clean, im referring to line 1, after I start a new game then activate, or activate a file with only those three activated.

Yea, it's alright. Just relax, Fo4 never gets fixed by frustration. For me it has always been about perseverance. A modded Fo4 game is just 2 games in one. The game you play inside the game, and the game you play outside on your desktop. As time goes by the game you play outside the launcher is the more challenging.

Still, I have used c2 for hundreds of hours over several months, and not once in Alpha or Beta did I run into a CTD issue with ch2 like you are describing. Not once.

My current save it is running with 1640926624158.png mods. No CTD.

What I suggest is if you are starting a new game with only the normal associated SS2 / SS2c2 mods and you still CTD, then your game files might have some old junk in them that just uninstalling and validating in steam doesn't remove.

If so:

Lastly, it isn't just plug-ins that can cause issues. More painful than a plug-in conflict is a non-plug mod issue textures/mesh, and F4SE kinds of things.
So, when I say no other mods I mean them too. Disable or Uninstall all of them at this point. Humble suggestion :happy

Just to eliminate... You do have the Automatron DLC? It's required for Chapter 2. Without it you'll CTD on start.

My post had nothing to do with you. My post is about slow save times and was ment for those who are trying to address that. They are having issues figuring out the save issue.

In myexperiance, If everyone is having the problem, then it is the software. If everyone is fine but you, it is you. I am pretty much an expert because I was that guy screaming, "It is not me!" When it actually was me.
