Conqueror and nuke world

Hello all, I have been playing conqueror for a bit and have levelled up enough to be prepared to head into nuke world. I have 2 conqueror outposts being fed by 3 conqueror vassals. Now to the question....

When I get to the point in nuke world where I am to take an outpost for a nuka-gang, can I also trigger an outpost attack with my conqueror gang, basically creating an outpost for both, or do I have to keep them separate? I just want to know ahead of time if they should be treated as different gangs or if they will intermingle.
