This is a fun mod I found over at LoversLab. It spawns captives among raiders and SuperMutants that you can rescue and recruit to be settlers.

Is anyone else using this?

I'd love for them to upload a non-sexual variant to Nexus. We had this as a vanilla feature in Fallout 3 (and maybe NV?) where you had captives you could free, but then you'd never see them again. Since they were very finite, I always hoped we'd see them around Megaton or Rivet City, possibly even unlocking quests or vendors, but, no such luck.

I've never made a LoversLab account, but I admit to having checked it out a time or two. A lot of mods there require other mods, so while I might go into Commonwealth Captives without any ill intentions, you have to install the sex animations framework and the torture kit framework, which is all well and good if you never use them, but then they're in your game and I guess you might see them in the wild? And that's not really the kind of game I want to run.

I've been playing with it. It requires Advanced Animation Framework and all its requirements. That's too complicated for me, so I did not add AAF's requirements. And it works fine. It just doesn't have the sex animations if I want to demand sex from a freed captive. Which is fine with me. I don't need that. The torture stuff is so that the captives will spawn hung on crosses and such.

The upside is that I can free captives, set them on their way. Or send them to a settlement. Or invite them to travel with me. They are not full companions, but I can trade with them and dismiss them to a settlement when I choose. I enjoy freeing them, escorting them to a settlement, and then assigning them to the settlement.

Using MCM, you can also adjust how often they spawn and how many. I turned mine down to a 10% chance.

My only complaint is that some of the props that the mod requires will clutter up resources/misc in the workshop. I have not tried loading without the one doing that yet. I have not witnessed anything from the torture stuff spawning in the wild except as it relates to this mod.

Just install Crime and Punishment. It includes all of this and SO much more. And you know... its free of the porn.

I've got it. I saw it in a JuiceHead video. I already have your mod Gun for Hire. Love 'em. (To be fair, I don't know if I installed them before or after you made that comment. I haven't been around here in a while. In any case, thanks for the cool mods!)
