firstly brilliant add on like the desk with the mini crafting stations. after you place one of your desks and select a leader and the whole rip it all down thing the desk reverts back to the Kinggath original. i'm using the xbox sim settlements lite edition. p.s i cant seem to get dogmeat as a leader

The desk replacement is because the desk is explicitly set by city plans. The only work arounds are to tear down the desk the city makes and put the one you want back (resource intensive), edit/patch the city plan yourself to include the desk of choice (tricky), or wait until the city is level 3 (booooring).
As far as dogmeat is concerned, you have to dismiss him to the settlement you want him to lead before he becomes available. It can get tricky, but he'll get there.
