Certain hotkeys are unresponsive for a few seconds after leaving workshop

Might not be considered a "bug", more of a minor inconvenience.

With WS+ active, some vanilla hotkeys are unresponsive for a few seconds each time you exit workshop mode. This includes the Inventory and Journal hotkeys.

Test steps:
  1. Enter workshop mode
  2. Exit workshop mode
  3. (First couple of seconds, 3-4 seconds in my case) Press 'i' and observe that it's unresponsive
  4. (3-4 seconds later) Press 'i' and observe that it's now working as expected

There is an intentional delay, so your floating head can locate and reattach to that slooty body and not muck up other stuff in the process.... (non code monkey explanation!)

Good explanation. Come to think of it, I think I may have wondered about this as well. I didn't mind it though because it was only like maybe a second or so for me.

Makes sense IMO, since there is probably a lot of Script Magic going on in the background.

The delay is because if you activate your pipboy before your body is reattached, you end up stuck in a permanent broken animation state and have to reload your save... the delay seemed preferable.

If you disable the Flight system it won't occur any longer.

That's really cool IMO & worth it for the cool flight ability. Hypothetically, could a power armor mod grant the exact flight ability?

I suspected there might be a good reason for the behavior, cheers.

Not that I've discovered yet. If I find a way to do flight and keep the player's body in tact, I definitely will switch to that method.

I see.

When I'd seen the flight mode it reminded me of these cool mech suits from a show that I like a lot. They're kind of like Gundam suits.

They've got a sort of "Float system" which is an anti gravity system and effectively their movement is exactly like WS+'s flight rather than being like a jetpack(space bar would make it move a bit faster) though still constrained by fuel.
