What it says on the tin. Any time I capture a raider, gunner, or other such NPC belonging to a hostile faction, they're attacked when they arrive at the outpost I assign them, by both my gang and the automated defences.

Is this normal behaviour?

The capture system of random NPCs in the world is definitely experimental. If I can get it working consistently, it will become a method for converting any NPC into a permanent settler. As you're witnessing, the method is not particularly reliable because the NPCs can be reset by the game engine.

This is true. And now I see what's going on--the NPC can get reset when he/she 3D unloads. I should've realized that, as I have the same issue with a mod I'm working on. One of the things that's preventing me from polishing and releasing, is the issue with the NPC being 'reset'. It's an issue that happens if the NPC isn't unique--most raiders, gunners, CoA, etc.
