Parameters-

Stranger had me build one agriculture, one residential, and one industry. I'm in the next part.
I'm in sanctuary
My settings are mostly the hard ones where everything has cost.
Realistic Build Time is ON
After Stranger had me build the first 3 plots, I built one more Agriculture and then turned on Realistic Build Time

Result-

None of the plots will finish building, BUT the bed count is going up over time as if the residential plots are being completed.

Update: Tested with a new savegame and no mods. Same result.

How many days did you let pass for the real build time? SS1 it was varied depending on the plots and level. It could take anywhere from an entire day to a week.

Several weeks.
I would assume the several weeks mean you slept or waited for like a week at a time.

The problem with that is those timers might include actual play time, similar to settlement production where a portion of that time must be normal play time. Would have to find that out from one of the people that have seen the code.

No, I did not sleep for weeks. And also, the clue here is that the bed count is going up without any residential plots actually completing. Obviously, that is a bug.

Well the bed count changing when you start the plot is intended.

Think about it, you got a settler building the house and during that time they would not have a bed which would tank your happiness. Not enough bed tanks the entire population happiness rather than the individual happiness.

The bed count doesn't change when I start the plot. It changes in a staggered manner over time in accordance with the intervals of time between the starting of individual plots. As if the plots were being completed.
