Hey All.

I seem to be having a fair bit of trouble with this mod and 'not enough resources' being the issue.

As far as I can tell (new to the Mod, maybe im missing something?) I have enouh resources to build a new Industrial Plot, but when i try to 'start construction' it returns error for Not Enough Resources.

I have 164 building materials in the Sim Settlements Inventory, and the structure I want to build only requires 39 resources. The plot has power & a settler assigned. I've tried refreshing plot with no luck.

I've built a residental and industrial plot on the settlement already using scrap from my personal inventory, but for this third building, why wont it use the resources available in the settlement?

You have 164 Mechanical resources, not Building resources. "Building Resources" is the first number below the 164/700, the one with the wheelbarrow icon. That plot that's producing is actually making Mechanical not Building, not sure why it says it is making Building.
 
Oh i see! Right... that makes sense, I guess i need to change the first industrial plot i made to building materials, i think i selected 'Building Materials' as the 'Category', and it build that one, perhaps that particular building is categorised incorrectly?...

Yeah that's definitely the mod's Mechanical Materials factory, I've never seen it incorrectly build what you tell it to though - EXCEPT if someone already autoassigned to it and started building something while you were in the middle of telling it what to put there, it has a habit of getting confused in that situation.
 
i have the same problem but in commercial building at the castle this my screen
can anyone can help me?
after clicking the start nothing happens all commercial plot only but others is good
i try to restart my computer and re load again nothing happens

Commercial plots actually have an additional requirement that other plot types do not - by default, they require a certain Population at that settlement before they'll even start building. You can change that in the options in the Holotape/MCM though (I always turn that off myself). That screen really does need to be tweaked to tell you that though, I've seen two people today alone stuck on that.
 
thank you all i did is bed not home that's why it wont create other settlements is good only in this castle XD, this is a good thing to know, i though it was bug

Commercial plots actually have an additional requirement that other plot types do not - by default, they require a certain Population at that settlement before they'll even start building. Actually, by default the requirement is X number of residential plots. The setting can be changed between plots, population or off. Population is a good setting to use if you have vanilla beds as it still requires X number of settlers, just not the plot count.
 
I have a martial plot in County Crossing that lists upgrades available, but claiming not enough resources when I have 10s of thousands of all 4 types of building materials in my caravan network and enough locally... am I missing some other requirement?

In SS1, one of the "immersion" settings was that Martial plots required a certain number of Industrial plots active in the same settlement to be able to level up. That option is not present in SS2, but I suspect the mechanic is actually still in there and is set to either on or off based on what you chose when that popup came up when you first run the holotape.

Probably spoke too soon... must have just been something random... left a while, came back and I was able to manually upgrade it again. Removed some extra wires that didn't spawn correctly as well. All good now! Loving the mod! :)

Good to know! It can be a bit temperamental like that sometimes.
