Blood moon interior power plot

hi, I’m having an issue with the BMR Raider power plot. I’ve built it in two settlements and in one case it works as I would expect and can be upgraded but in another settlement it indicates that it needs 1 power and I am unable to upgrade it. Any idea of what could cause this or what I could do to make it work?

I’m on Xbox btw

Thank you

Fuzzy recollection...

but did you run a wire from the contraption the plot builds to the connector on the asam box? and if so, did you do so with both plots?

maybe I didn’t explain properly.

Both of the plots actually work, at least in terms of producing and transmitting power. They provide electricity to the plots and it allowed me to upgrade other plots in said settlements. But despite producing 10 power, both of them connected by wire to a connector that I then split to various plots but only one of them still shows as if it’s lacking power (like a martial plot unconnected for instance) and that’s the one that I cannot upgrade even after a month in game. It’s producing power, but it acts as any interior plot that would require power.

The other place I built it doesn’t show as lacking power and I have the option to upgrade it.

As for the asam box, it’s not connected to it, it’s an interior plot, I don’t believe I can connect anything to it.

Have you tried refreshing the plot?

Could a bugged plot ,you could try changing the plot to something else then back to the power plot.
Or destroy the plot and rebuild it.

If it works fine in one settlement it means the building plan is fine .
Is it in a custom settlement or vanilla?

I encountered this on Pete's house and the raider guard post as well. Would flash purple during the settlement check I thought it was illegal either maybe dlc stuff in it. Built other stuff to replace and it also flash the d purple ... hooked up but said no power This was on on the other plots so it's not just blood moon raiders.

This is a structural glitch.

I tried refreshing multiple times without success. I will try destroying it and rebuilding. See if it helps.

And it’s in Greentop Nursery, if that’s what you mean by vanilla settlement.

Yeah BMR has lots of DLC content. but safe to use in the contest because plots ill change if you don't have a addon.

Hmm no idea why it wudnt be getting power:(

try manual install .

Not just blood moon.. several times it was other plots and addons.

So I have tried to build something else and then revert back but it didn’t fix the issue.

Then I destroyed it completely and built a new one. It worked! Well as far as I can tell. It was late and I went to bed so I’m not 100% sure that it will want to upgrade but it stopped showing a need for power.

Thank you for your advice.

ok cool :)
sounds like something wnet wrong when it was 1st built

let us know if it dosnt level up .

Bit late - But.....
I've had the same issues in my interior plots regarding lost power that shouldn't be lost. I found the following does the trick - In workshop mode, select the plot, If past level 1 you get the warning message about destroying it etc, ignore it all and just cancel the movement. The plots goes back to where it was or stays put, if you didn't move around, and power is restored. Happens on my bunk house and mega mall. Hope this helps in some way. "Waits for @Irealys to test this and reports back it does or doesn't resolve it"

Ok, forgot to come back to this thread.

It happened again and I realized one thing that I completely forgot about from the first time that probably created the situation.

In both cases I originally built a residential plot and then turned it into an industrial plot. And that’s the only time I got this issue with this particular plot.

What RS mentionned didn’t work with this particular issue but I did fix some problematic plots using his trick

Ooh does changing other addon plots do the same thing?

Ok, I think I found something.

To the risk of repeating myself, I’m on X-Box so someone would have to verify if it’s the same on PC.

So I tested the 2x2 raider windmill plot by doing the same (starting with a non industry plot, change it to industry, select the power one). It worked fine.

I went back to interior plots, took a plot, changed to industrial and then selected another power plot. The Vault Tec Tools plot had the same issue. It creates power but the plot indicates that it should have power going to it anyway. I then changed it to RS Turbines and it was working perfectly fine, indicating the power supplied and not that it required 1. Downloaded Whisper’s power plots (the only other interior power plot on Xbox) and they are working fine. And I can change from one working power plot (let’s say Whisper) to a non working one (let’s say BRM) back and forth and it stays the same, the one working will work next time and the non working one will keep not working every time.

And to be thorough I tried building an industrial of any kind that required power (wood production in this case) and then changed to the s BMR power plot and it worked perfectly fine, no wrong indication of need for power.

Here is the kicker: the Vault Tec plot and the blood moon raider power plot both Require to connect via wire. The Whisper and RS plots don’t. So from what I can see this is an issue that happens only on interior power plots that need to connect via wire and only if they started as a different type of plot (ex: residential) and then changed to industrial.

ah
sounds like when you change type they don't fully change, not sure why a refresh wudnt fix it .
ill play around with it and see if I can make it work like whispers and RS plots ;)
