Have anyone heard if they'll release a barebone sim settlement 2 mod sans the questline and extra characters? Not bashing the quest, i love the extra story and the character of Jake. The gunners were boring before the mod and I cant wait to see how the story continues in chapter 3 on YouTube (I'm on xbox x and I'm assuming that chapter 3 will be too big to download). I also loved seeing concord grow (that'd be another great mod of its own I'd download in a heartbeat) into its own town. Part of me wishes Bethesda would notice the great work and make a deal to release it as official dlc so folks on ps can enjoy it too. But every mb is precious so a barebones version would be great so I can download more stuff. Would still miss my 2nd fav companion and his sweet laser revolver.

kinggath has said multiple times in his livestreams over on Youtube that they're going to do their darndest to get Chapter 3 to fit on the Xbox, even if it means stripping optional stuff out of chapters 1 and 2.
He's also said they will eventually make a "mechanics only" version of the mod for that same reasoning, but that will almost certainly not be until after Chapter 3's been out for a while to get some serious bugfixing done. (maintaining two codebases is a pain in the rear)
