Autopay Not Working?

I have the option to "AutoPay: Plot Costs", but it doesn't seem to be working until I donate all from my Workbench to the settlement. Or at least I think that is what got everything going. I had "Realistic Build Times" on and I put everything I scavenged during that time (everything not nailed down) in the Workshop, thinking that would pay for it. No luck. After over a week, the plots I placed hadn't upgraded to level one. I turned off "Realistic Build Times" and went on another adventure. Returned after a day and still nothing. Donated everything to settlement and boom, everything built. Some of this could be a coincidence, but just giving what information I have.

Any ideas of what I may do? Is it a bug? Do I just not know what I'm doing and should give the game to someone better qualified?

You need to have at least a building materials plot operational for auto pay to start things off gotta have a way for settlers to gather and store materials.

The mod taking items out of the vanilla Workbench to pay for things (appears to) only work when you are physically in that settlement - probably a scripting limitation. Better off making sure there's stuff in the "Virtual Storage", usually only takes an initial donation to make sure there's at least SOME Industry or a Caravan Plot linking to another settlement that DOES have Industry going and then things should be mostly OK.
"Realistic Build Times" is actually undergoing some testing out of concern that it's not working right.
