Not a bug Ammo storage

i have used the ibb and triple checked holotape settings ( set to no central storage ) but there never is ammo in the conveyer storage ( lvl 3 plant ) and I think it is getting moved to workshop but hard to tell bc I dump so much ammo in at diff points

A few things:

1) is the ammo builder running at all and producing ammo?

2) if it is running, and you watch the ammo go into the container, I assume it's there immediately after it goes in?

3) if you then wait 24 hours, does it disappear?

1. Every time I walk by it's not running but the green asam light is on
2. I have seen it run before and the ammo did go into the container
3.N/A

If it's not running, then the problem might be that it never runs at all.

Wait 12 hours twice and verify that you get materials put into the builder by the settler.

A settler will go up to the building and put materials in or will they just appear ? I'll try this when I get home

Yeah sturges is assigned and it has power ( Asam light green)

OK, wait for 12 hours twice and verify if materials appear, if not, try assigning a different settler for me or assigning sturges away and back, then waiting 12 hours twice again

Materials do appear and there are bullets being produced and put into the conveyor storage at least to start.

OK, so now wait 12 hours twice again and tell me if it disappears (it should transfer to workbench once a day if you have the setting for centralized storage enabled)

It did not, idk what changed. Doesn't it only run if you are in the settlement? Say for example I'm out of sanctuary for a week in game and then come back, I expect to have a weeks worth of ammo in the storage but so far ( not tested after these last tests ) it's been empty and I'm pretty sure they've found their way into the workshop

No, Contraptions Builders (what that ammo maker is) only run when the player is around. However, it should accumulate materials for making ammo while you're away, and then go back to producing ammo when you return.

Ok, I'm going to empty my workshop of ammo and see if any gets put in when I go adventure, you can mark this fixed I guess unless you hear back on this thread.

One other possibility: kinggath has changed things a bit so that if a plot refreshes for some reason (like if you were to change a performance setting, or run a "refresh all" or what have you) that any containers will move their contents to the workbench.
