All HUD resource bars full and ZERO happiness

At Starlight Drive-in I have vanilla happiness rating at 84, the HUD shows full bars on all stats, but happiness bar is empty. I'm playing with simple complexity and disease and death turned off. Is this a bug? I have other settlements in similar situation. New settlement start off with above 50% happiness and it seem the more I build and more settlers show up, the happiness bar slowly disappears as I build the settlement no matter what I do.

Did you try turning off the 'Sheltered Bed Mechanic" in the Workshop Framework settings? The WSFW settings holotape can be crafted at the chemistry station, IIRC. Seems your on xBox. If you are on PC, there is an MCM menu as well.

Never had to do that in previous play throughs and that would affect the vanilla happiness rating as well. That would also affect the housing resource bar.

seriously!?!? no other responses this? Is no one else having this issue????? Come on community, I can't be the only one.... Vanilla happiness in some settlements is 100, yea really no BS and SS2 happiness is literally 0

How long to you stay in a settlement? It may be an issue where script lag is preventing the code to update the needs meter before you leave.

You could try looking through the WSFW settings holotape. IIRC, there is a "reset HUD" option. In the SS2 settings holotape there is a "recalculate settlement resources" tool.

I'm pretty curious about that issue also.

It seems, when I'm not in a settlement for some time, happiness seems to go into downward spiral. I had this happen, most dramatically, with Abernathys when I did a casual look at the map and happiness had degraded to 20 from 80 in just a few game days.

All bars on the HUD are full and when I go there, even without doing anything, happiness starts to rise again, after a few, probably script related, seconds.

Same with the Castle. It dropped from somewhere in the 80ies to 46.

I have also problems with happiness since last SS2 Update. All Bars are full and green, every settler have a smylee in the status bar. The happiness count between 55 to 60. I have a doctor, a bar and two recreational plots in the settlements. It never rise to 80. Every plot is ready for upgrade, but the happiness is to low.

In the last update with same plots was the happiness beyond 90. I had never trouble with it...

My wife has a similar issue with her game. She has covered the basic needs, added multiple recreation plots, but happiness still tanks. Last we left off, she was using cat cages to bring up happiness. We have yet to identify the actual issue, but I have never had it happen on any of my playthroughs personally.
