Question Abandon Vassals

So I took over The Castle and I want that to be my HQ as Minutemen liberator. I have converted my previous HQ (Red Rocket) back to a settlement.
Now I see that Tenpines Bluff is still a vassal of mine, but since I don't have a nearby outpost I'd like to convert them into a regular settlement again.
How do I do this?

You can temporarily turn on control of your vassals (if you haven't already by default) in the MCM. This should let you build a warplanners desk so you can abandon it.
