Sunshine Tidings' L3 Caravan plot is giving me this message, even after a refresh and waiting 5 minutes. However:

It was previously working and linked to Abernathy (which seems to be closer than, for instance, Sanctuary to Starlight or Starlight to Taffington). I went and checked Abernathy, and it's "Operational" there with no other messages. Not sure how to restore the link.

The built in SS2 caravan plots feel like they're objectively worse than even vanilla caravans, even at rank 3 they feel really limited range and seem to break easily. I have a similar problem with Starlight's caravan plot consistently thinking it is unpowered, refreshing doesn't fix it, but deleting and re-adding the wire in build mode does.
e: something seems to have been wrong with the specific power pole the plot originally created, I scrapped the original and had the plot create a new pole and this problem went away.

I had a simiar issue until i found out i had negative values of certain components.
I changed the scrap category to 'scrap' for 1 resource use only and suddenly the caravan network sputtered back to life since it was now able to actually pay upkeep fees.
Said negative scrapvalues i found was created by using cityplans.

any news about that issue? I got the same problem with the settlement founded by Old Paul after the task...
Regarding the negative values? It's definitely being researched from the number of threads that have been posted. However, the only way I can find updates on bugs is reading the changelog's that KingGath posts when beta/stable releases come out.

"Operational, No Other Caravan Services in Range"

I have this same problem. With multiple Caravan plots.

It started at Greentop and I guessed maybe it really was too far away, even though some other, existing caravan legs seem a lot longer. So I made Caravan plots in Coastal Cottage and Finch Farm, which were closer to the last successful Caravan plot (Lighthouse), and they all have the problem. No new caravan plots work. I have a network dead zone in the middle of the Commonwealth.

I've tried refreshing. Picking them up and putting them down in Workshop mode (heard that is a harder reset). Even destroying them and rebuilding. Same problem every time. Seems like a bug. Put an immediate stop to the concept of building an "empire."

I'm playing with SS2/RotC and it's required mods. Nothing else. And the base SS2 extra quests seem to be working. For example, while I was troubleshooting Greentop the Hauer character paid me a visit to launch his quest.

It looks it was a distance problem for me. The little house in the coast finally connected to the commercial web after I build a settlement in the nursery.

Greentop will connect with The Slog, Taffington and even I think Covenant.
Finch will connect to the Slog and County Crossing.

Thanks for the information on distances.
I've got staffed, powered, Caravan services plots in most of those places and get the same error message.

Interesting point: ever since the first "problem" caravan plot, no new plots will connect. This entire zone in the middle of the commonwealth will not connect. In the photo below there are working Caravan Services in every single settlement.

Ideas? I saw the suggested workaround to use IDEK, but aren't there unlocks and other benefits to using the SS2 Caravans?

Update on this problem. I installed IDEK and changed plot types from SS2 Caravans to ILS Stations. It worked...sort of:

What is working (per the terminal in the ILS Plot):
  • The station is active
  • Caravan routes on map, provisioner settlers carrying out their duties
  • Accurate count of other settlements + population
  • Exchanging surplus food and water
  • Logistics locker
What isn't working in the entire NE Section of the map (photo above):
  • ASAMs still say, "Operational, no other Caravan services in Range"
  • Not sharing virtual scrap
  • Looks like the food/water exchanges are inaccurate because there is plenty of food/water in total, but many settlements do not have full HUD meters even after recalculating
Maybe related...all these Settlements have ROTC City Plans.

ILS stations??

worse than even vanilla caravans,
I've never had or even heard a problem with vanilla provisioners other than difficulty unassigning them, for which there was never a need until SS2 and it's caravan plots, and robot provvies would often lose their customizations, but they didn't need to be assigned to trade routes for that. You could turn your back for half a second and your badass murderbot would turn into a naked protectron.

I am having this same problem but only in Far Harbor. I switched to IDEK and Caravan routes on map, provisioner settlers carrying out their duties, but ASAMs still say, "Operational, no other Caravan services in Range" and Not sharing virtual scrap

strangely IDEKs has broken for me in the last 2 days!

I have 5 built and they are working but I cant build anymore, it has vanished from the class list when I go to change the building type even though its still installed and the ones I have built are working...and they wont connect to any none idek caravaneer station now
