After many tries I always have Oberland / Zimonja / Somerville / Finch Farm. Can I link Somerville to Oberland with a caravan without Egret ? It seems far.
Preston seems to completely ignore the usual Tenpines / Starlight we use to have so many times before.
I never take Egret so early in game...
Considering the efficiency of the debug team and how slowly I tend to play, you're surely right when you say the "problem" will be fixed when I will face it. I have many vanilla and SS2 quest to do before the end of ch2 so it should be good if it's a "solvable" problem.
Thanks a lot for the info.
Okay, thanks a lot for these very valuable info. Now avoiding south of Charles River is a bit complicated when Preston almost always send me to Oberland first and minutemen quest will prolly not progress if I don't take it.
I think I'm good for a re-game and hope for a Tenpines first.
Here's the big philosophical question before I (maybe) have to start a new game survival/hardcore options... And after I've read a couple of interesting informations in a recent post of Antoine Soverie.
So I could use lot of advices from experienced Chap 2 & 3 players...
I obviously generally...
Previous run was Oberland first then Zimonja + Finch Farm. Being sent so far from Sanctuary so early is curious. I don't remember that kind of thing before chap3 but prolly it's pure coincidence and vanilla weirdo stuff. Like you say 2 exemples don't make a scheme.
Same kind of thing for me while I only have Sanctuary, Preston sends me to Oberland first where people ask me to clean Corvega (which is generally the objective of Tenpines peeps). Then, back to Preston and he asks me to clean-up Starlight Drive-inn and immediately does me the "oh, I have an...
I've solved the problem once by sending him to an other settlement with workshop mode R key and sending him back to sanctuary. After that I was able to assign him to a shop. I don't know if it still work.
( check first if he his "really" assigned to Sanctuary or where you want him to be with...
I'm prolly wrong but I think "caravan services" ( fast travel & beacons ) are provided by Lvl 2 caravan plots, not Lvl 1 ( Lvl 1 "only" link settlements, which seems to work for you )
I don't know if this problem is still investigated but I noticed it twice in Starlight. I run all the latest patches and updates. Using the interior caravan plot.
case 1 : caravaneer based in Starlight sent to Corvega (interior). Problem: caravaneer not counted as a resident of Starlight when...
Triangle of death is still a thing unfortunately.
Most of the time players don't build the 3 settlements at the same time.
Speaking about my case, I have a 18 settlers Sanctuary and a 16 settlers Abernathy Farm running fine. But I have "auto-upgrade" off here.
And I will not use Red Rocket...
The most surprising thing was to have a +2 settlers count when Raven is recruited. I was thinking I had a new vanilla settler hidden somewhere at the same time, reason why I used the gavel.
Side note, Crow (auto)builds his plots even if not here.
I Don't know if it's normal but using the town meeting gavel while Raven Corvus has arrived in a settlement brings in Crow Corvus even if I haven't done the related quest.
From 1.0.3 patch note I read:
"Tweaked Old Paul’s face settings slightly to attempt to eliminate the spiked ear bug that occurs for some players"
Seems like the same bug can occurs to Mr Powell.
Sure but is there a real benefit to auto-assignment? I mean total random assignment is a "no-go" for me considering the real benefit of npc "s.p.e.c.i.a.l" values and bonus manual assignment. Maybe practical early in SS2 quest line but you will have rocket like production and defenses and mass...
