I gave up on SS2 weeks ago and went back to SS1.
The worst part about SS2 to me is how it intends to be a complex production managment sim in a game that never was intended for it and without giving players the tools required to play it that way.
Imagine playing Cities Skylines, but instead of...
I either use a mod to disable attacks while def > food + water,
or put rocket turret towers just in range of spawn points, the second attackers spawn they are nicely bunched up perfect for rocket splash damage.
Most martial plots are indeed setdressing. The only ones actually practical are the...
I found many anti war songs of 60s and 70s fit surprisingly well with FO.

Bonus points for listening to them riding a vertibird and shooting down chinese ghouls.
Assaultron Boards have a chance to be on any base game Assaultron you kill.
Guaranteed spawns of easy to reach Assaultrons are Mass Pike Interchange or the waypoint between Slog and Breakheart Banks (before finishing the main quest).

How do settlers decide which food to consume with consume basic resources off and on?
Do they just go through available food and pick the alphabetically first they come across?
If that's the case would it be possible make settlers prefer a more balanced diet?
I'm asking since in my current...
WSFW auto doors stopped working for me a while ago. SS plot doors seem to work without it and for all other doors I use AutoDoors.
It'd be nice to have it working again. Opening all doors when in workshop mode was such a nice feature, especially in Vault 88.
Automatron Rebooted adds the ability for bots to man stalls and SS2 also allows them working commercial plots
Could you please remove, or at add an option to disable, the check against bots working commercial in SS1, so Greygarden can remain a full settlement run entirely by bots?
I always play in survival, just having saves turned back on.
Walking or using vertibirds makes me feel a lot more in tune with the world than simply opening the map and teleporting around. Though with the institute we would have an in game explanation for doing that.
Abernathy giving the Minuteman his land for protection so his last daughter doesn't die to a random mutant or raider attack makes more sense than the real world.
Depending on the country the cops might just decide to repay for the great protection they provide you either give your land to them...
Game mechanics clearly indicate leadership. The player can order those NPC around like you please.
Yes it is not thought through like so many things in Bethesda games. Neither Abernathy nor Finch family will even complain if you order them to move somewhere else.
Apart from that however it...
@Bored Peon
Yes we know you can buy resources, but it's bothersome and sometimes outright stupid.
For example I want to manually build a nice house for use with interior plots.
In SS1 I could simply start building.
Industrial plots dump wood and steel into the workshop
Supply lines bring it...
Anyone else having problems getting ILS2 collection working alongside SS2 with operating costs turned up?
I set ILS to collect caps and also redistribute, but from what I could tell it doesn't do a good job, my generators and plots are constantly breaking since i swapped from SS2 caravan to ILS.
I asked myself the question just today "what do ss2 settlements do for me to warrant the hassle of maintaining them?"
I'm currently at 6 Settlements and already feel burned out from how tedious SS2 became.
Production takes way longer to set up, doesn't automatically fill the workshop with...
Either the gap between a bot built at lvl30 with robotist 2 and lvl50 with robotist 3 is massive or their special calculates differently in 101d.
My early bots had low 2 and a few 3, now my bots are insanely op:
I thought how bots could fit into the system and special stats should be calculated...
Did you sit down and stand up again?
That broke the dialoge for me and I had to reload.
The whole tuning dialogue should be condensed to an activator "tune frequency".
Going back and forth in a sluggish dialogue with the radio doesn't add anything fun to the game.
Talking about power the one thing I always ran out of was ceramics. thanks to that I became an obsessive hoarder of coffee cups.
Muggy would be so happy in my settlements.
At least Minuteman Preston spawns seem to start with slightly better stats.
Being away for a few ig days I found one Minuteman with 6 Enduranceand another with 4 Charisma. I doubt they used my training rooms to level up that fast.
PS: I never believed Mamas story about shooting a Deathclaw with...
I only vaguely recall the times before Industrial Revolution. Since IR came out the only thing I ever needed to buy where components for bot crafting from Isabel.
The real incentive to bother with settlements is a steady supply of materials.
Caps are pointless, if I play without...
