Is there a good method that is fully SS2-compatible to skip the early game stuff?
I’ve been trying to get SS2 to work for a very long time, and every time I get a ways into it and then the game starts crashing/bugging/etc. (This post is not about those issues.)
As a result of my continued mod...
Does it seem to anybody else like - when I ask a companion to follow me - they are still counted as a settler in whatever town I grabbed them from?
How do I squash this bug?
is there a good way (or a mod) that makes settlers less stupid? Like so they don’t bang into things as much.
Also would be nice to find a way to keep the Brahmin outdoors and on the ground, as opposed to blocking hallways and climbing onto roofs.
So why in Greentop are there 15/15 settlers but I can only get 14 of the available work plots occupied without reassigning the mayor? Is that 15th plot just waiting for him to max the settlement and retire?
if Preston is the leader of Greentop (or really any leader/any settlement) can I assign him to staff one of the guard posts? Or does he have to remain assigned to the administration desk for the settlement to grow and upgrade?
Ok I think I resolved this one myself. I figured it out manually.
I do have a lingering question though:
If I assign the City Leader to work a Plot, are they still the City Leader? Is there any reason to not do this?
It’s been a few minutes now. Settlers have assigned themselves to the unbuilt plots but the built ones are still all vacant. And the unemployed settlers are getting their “unemployed” red vault boy turned green even though they don’t really have jobs yet.
I just found the “unassign all” option with the town meeting gavel, and I used it. Now waiting around for them to auto-assign, hoping they all go to the plots this time. Is there any need for me to wait in the settlement or can I go on an adventure and come back later?
(hey as a brief note, I’m really appreciating all the help I’m getting from this question/help forum page. It’s making the game awesome for me. So thanks.)
I’m wondering if there’s an easy way to unassign all the settlers in a settlement and also to make them prefer settlement plots over any...
once I get a settlement to level 3, is there any reason to keep the leader there?
Or should I Take Back City at that point and move the leader somewhere else?
If I'm playing with the SS performance configuration tool set to Ultra right now, and I change it to High, will I get the Optimized City Plans? Do I have to scrap and rebuild my cities to get them?
How can I tell? which I have?
Is it reasonable to try to do a ROTC plan for all the settlements? Or is that just asking for trouble?
How many settlements should one reasonably think they can ROTC?
