Thinking perhaps something was breaking if I ordered an existing settlement to self-destruct before starting a city, I let the settlers scrap existing stuff at the Castle while building the new structure. Things got to the point where they were building houses and security, while I was hearing...
OK, so I reverted to an earlier save, and set off the local self-destruct for Sunshine Tidings (full charges). Got six minutes and 20 seconds into the demolition, when suddenly the machinegun turrets and settlers started attacking something on the edge of the area, and I crashed to desktop...
My first experiment with RotC was to convert my settlement at Sunshine Co Op into a city. To watch things from a good vantage point, I jet-jumped to the top of the barn that houses the workbench.
First off, the cinematic ran back and forth from the overpass/causeway to just before the water...
Any one else getting crashes when telling the game to convert an existing settlement into a city? It's happened twice now in Sunshine Tidings Co Op, while demolishing old buildings and farms, and starting new ones at the same time.
Are these "foundation skeletons" something that is fixed? How different will a settlement be if you compare it to another build of the same settlement on a different game/profile?
I have been trying to build some sort of platform above 1-story SS Residential plots so I could have a second row of plots above them, but haven't been able to get anything to work. How does one do this? Or, am I mistaking two-story plots in some screenshots to be one residential plot above the...
I deleted then reinstalled NMM, thinking it was causing my download errors (it wasn't).
I reinstalled NMM after fixing the download errors at NexusMods, and was able to update SS and add IR back in. But now when I go to continue my game, I get a message that SimSettlements_VIS.esp is missing. I...
I finally found what was causing the error on NexusMods: HTTPS Everywhere's latest update was blocking everything (including logins) at Nexus Mods, You have to disable it on NexusMods, then clear out your browser cache/cookies/etc.
Chiming in to confirm error on Nexus for both SS and IR when trying to update using NMM. I get a white popup with a red border, and a dark masthead that says "An Error Has Occurred". The rest of the window is blank, so can't provide any other information. Sorry!
Oh yeah, those are NPC "action spots", not an actual job. They're in the same class as "NPC stand and hammer" and such. It seems that any NPC that isn't traveling to a specific spot, like going to sleep, can get sucked in by those.
I've actually scrapped live mobs with Scrap Everything when I'm in workshop mode. :D
It's usually radroaches jumping out as I'm scrapping ruins. I just highlight them and hit "R" as they come at me in bullet time.
Yeah, it's a good idea to tour your settlements after the settlers have upgraded their houses/businesses, because that can eat up all your defense points in a jiffy! The "Workshops" tab in the Data section of your Pipboy can warn you about dangerous drops in resources in a settlement.
