When I use the town meeting gavel to call a meeting, the settlers often spawn somewhere else, even well outside the settlement.
I have narrowed the problem down to the compact city plans, for the following reasons :
- rolling all the way back to 4-1-6 fixed this problem, so it seems to be introduced in version 4-2 onwards.
- until my recently started new playthrough, I was using complex city plans and I didn't have the problem with them. So I tried loading an old save that used the complex city plans and I didn't have the problem.
- calling the meeting in a settlement before a city plan is selected does not have the problem.
Is this a known bug? Hopefully it is something that can be fixed, not just a problem with my game. I switched to the compact city plans to improve performance and reduced crashing around settlements, but I really like the town meeting function and don't want to have to make to without it.
(BTW, I have 3-in-1 and I don't used conqueror)
EDIT : At Oberland Station, when I call the town meeting anywhere inside the build area, the settlers spawn well outside it. When I call a meeting outside the build area, the settlers spawn near me, but will not follow me into the build area. Even commanding them to walk into the build area doesn't work - it's like they can't path to it. Could this be a navmesh issue?
EDIT : Using the ASAM Maintenance Software to call settlers to their jobs or homes works as expected. So in theory, I can probably get by without calling meetings. But I'd still like to know if this is just my game or a known bug.
