Solved Didn't say "Yes, let's go to war" at start. Now what?

When I placed the War Planner's Desk, and it asked me whether I want to go to war, I selected "No, not yet", because I was unsure what to expect. I figured I could always change it later.
Several ingame weeks have passed since then, and I forgot about that. haven't been raided yet, so I guess that's because I said "No, not yet" back then. I tried to find an option to change my answer, but I can't find one in the menus. Do I have to dismantle the desk and place a new one, or is there a toggle somewhere?

EDIT: The issue resolved itself when I conquered my first vassal.

No one knows?
I tried searching the forum in case it had been asked before, but the search function doesn't allow me to search for the string "Yes, let's go to war" or "No, not yet", because the words are too short. I don't know what other words to enter into the search bar.

have you removed and created a new desk?
you can use google to search this site if the website search isn't giving you what you want.

Won't scrapping the original desk also remove all my soldiers and plots?
Using google to search in simsettlements.com only returns this present thread. So I guess no one has asked this before. But I imagine that I'm not the only one who has ever answered "No, not yet", so there must be an obvious solution that I'm just too stupid to see, otherwise there would be several threads about it.

scrap the desk and recreate it and see if that does it. you've got nothing to lose and can always roll back to your current UN peace envoy game! :)

Didn't work. I scrapped it and built a new one. The outpost wasn't destroyed, all my people are still loyal, but I wasn't asked whether I want to go to war.

There isn't an older save. It's been a week since I placed that desk. I would rather quit the whole game than start all over again.
When a menu asks you if you want to defer a decision for later, I think it stands reasonable to assume that you will be given the opportunity to actually revisit your decision. There was no warning that this decision would be irreversible. I chose "No, not yet". "Not yet" generally implies "but maybe later". I am convinced that there must be a way to get that dialog to pop up again.

If you choose "No, not yet" you can start up a faction at any time by clicking the map, "Manage empire" (or something like it), on a war planner desk and claim the settlement for a faction. You'll get a prompt to set the settlement up as an outpost and you can begin recruiting and assaulting. Some factions require you to do quests etc before they can be started, check their mod pages.

If you don't get this prompt by clicking the map, it sounds like some of the scripts aren't working. You may have to do a manual installation of Workshop Framework, Sim Settlements and Conqueror.

When I click the map, I get the following menu items:
Cancel (works Ok)
Assign Commander (works OK)
Dismiss Commander (works OK)
View Settlement Reports (works OK)
Change Main Base (I don't have any other settlements, so this only brings up an empty menu)
It also correctly recognises my faction (Minutemen).

The Raid Board also works. I am able to start a raid and establish an Outpost, Vassal or an Outpost and take captives. I wi

Is it maybe possible that my settlement already is an outpost? That everything already works as intended, and I'm just worried for no reason?
I mean, apart from the fact that I'm never being targeted by raiders, everything else seems to work. Maybe if you only have one settlement, you don't get raided?

EDIT: I just assaulted Abernathy Farm and made it a vassal, so that part works, too.

As it turns out, all that fuss was for nothing. I just received an alert to defend my outpost. So I guess the war must have activated itself when I conquered Abernathy Farm.
