Anyone use Contraptions logic gates?

Anyone use Contraptions Logic Gates or contraption mods that go along with it?
Factories? Traps? Defenses? Art?
 
Tried them when contraptions first came out. But nowadays mainly just use a logic gate for my own player homes in settlements. Basically just auto closes the door after 10 seconds so I don't have to be bothered with it, lol

Now, on my PS4, I have an armor factory, a weapons factory, and an ammunition factory. But they are all simple factories without a million switches. My PS4 is my unmodded gameplay cuz, well, it's Sony.
 
I use a logic gate to auto close my gates made from the warehouse when the settlement gets attacked. My old roommate used them I think to have a special player character entrance to his main settlement.
 
Yeah, contraptions was kind of a niche thing. People either hated it or loved it. There wasn't too much that I was impressed with. I mean making fighting arenas was fun for like 30 minutes or so, then it was back to the original game.
 
To be truthful I would love to see a arena build contest. Spectacle island would be best I think. It’s big enough to support that & a settlement. Mind you the hit in FPS & CTD would most likely be phenomenal. I can see it now...all the various mods that give us different stores that you might see ringing the outside & upper level. Heck the walls of the arena could be in part some of the plots.
 
I built a large factory awhile back and used logic switches to vacuum 4 components from the workbench, dump them into a chem builder and spit out adhesive. And if any one of the components run out the machine would stop running and send the excess unused components back into the workshop. While also running an armor/weapon/junk; sorting/scrapping system. Never understood why i kept crashing in sanctuary.


I'm still playing with it a bit.
Just built a set up that will lock down the gates, open turret gates, and run the Siren for 40 seconds .
I'm using autodoors for the remote hostile sensor that triggers the whole thing and the NOT gates in Advanced Settlement Power.
Unfortunately Transfer Settlements and SS wont let me share my fun builds.

I'm trying to rig a more vanilla system, that only needs the autodoors mod, and the only thing I have came up with so far is a siren that runs for only 20 seconds when triggered and opens some turret gates.
 
My gate house set up uses the siren to activate the gate closure & fire off one or two shells from the fireworks mortar. If it’s one shell then it’s a Faction call for help. That’s normally the Minutemen for me. If it’s two shells then the first is a clear weather and the second is the faction call for help.

You should do a build video for the setups. It’s the next best thing I think. Well, unless the these guys can help you get past that.

I built an arena with shops along the outside, stadium style seating, switches for cages, lighting, and sleeping bags for the residents. The whole thing covered the whole build area in starlight drive in.

That thing surprisingly did not fry my PS4, lol

Great, now I wanna build a battle arena again
 
only thing I ever did was using the XOR gate for a powered gate with two switches on both sides.

That makes me think about changing my gate house setup to include a set of switches and another logic gate to allow me to enter & exit my settlement even when the siren is sounding, the gate is closed, but the attackers have been defeated. Some times I’ll a little impatient waiting on the settlers to turn off the siren and open the gate.
