Thank You for this mod... Love it!!! Can't live without it... won't play without it.

BUT... And you knew there had to be a But!!! Is there any way to 'not' have the Comms Operator working 24/7. I feel so bad (not really) when I come into a settlement at 8 or 9pm and everyone's at the club except the poor Comm Op

. Also... for a touch more immersion (assuming that issue could be fixed); The radio should be manned during set hours (i.e. 8am to 6pm) Any beacon set off outside those hours the signal won't be pick-ed up (and Salvagers Dispatched) until the next morning. Just a secondary thought. But it really would be nice if they had better hours.

Regardless... I can't ever see playing this game without this mod... GREAT JOB... and again... Thanx!!!

OH... P.S.: For fear of messing something up, I haven't tried this yet; but from re-reading the description I can actually leave a beacon inside of an area (less those listed)? i.e.; I can leave a beacon Inside the Super Duper Mart, and the salvagers will pick it up from inside.

If you talk about The Castle, that is the vanilla of Fallout 4. And ofc he has to do the job 24 hours, raiders and the wasteland don't sleep either! So bring him a cup of coffee: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19012/?

You can make the castle radio operator take a break by shutting off the power to the radio, but he doesn't like it much... I like to think the salvage comm operator takes breaks while you are not there, or after they send out the salvagers :)

Admittedly... on more than one occasion when I enter a settlement the Comms Op was away from their post, but came running back the moment I got there. Cats and Mice I suppose - LoL

What I do for the castle and anywhere I have a salvage beacon operator is build a bed right next to the desk and assign them to it. That way it's all right there. I'll upload a screenshot of what I did in Nordhagen tonight. I make the comm operator bunk with the settlement kid in the same room and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Salvage beacons are two separate things - the desk is built in one or more settlements and pickup is scheduled from the closest settlement to wherever container you place the beacon itself into.
They will come, grab the junk out of the container and haul it wherever you tell them to.

It has saved me hours of not hauling a bunch of crap back to a settlement while adventuring, just toss it all into an empty trash can and throw in a beacon and you can run again.
