Updating Mod Versions Inquiry

I apologize if this is addressed elsewhere in advance, but when updating any addon or simcity mod to a newer version, is it fine to just delete the previous version? Or does it depend on a case by case basis?

Unless otherwise stated by a mod author, completely removing the old version first is best practice for updating any mod.

Best way to update would be:

1. download the new version
2. active the new version with the NMM-tool
3. if the NMM-tool asks to overwrite any data, say yes
4. disable or delete the old version
5. start the game, if it's neccessary go to settlements and use the option [Refresh Local Plots] under [Tools] in your pip-boy by the holotap, or at your builded desktop inside the settlement
